The roses are beautiful🧡 I use my google Lens on every piece i buy to find out all about the piece.. maker, age, value, etc. I even use it on plants, insects, literally anything I want info on! Amazing for antiques & old vintage finds..i use it in store quite often to see if the piece is worth the asking price😉 I'd definitely ck the plates! Love the plate with the roses! I love silver & have quite a large collection.. but i love the patina on my silver. I want to collect some transfer ware in all the colors, there's about 10 or 11 colors, either a plate, saucer or platter.. and do a plate wall. Some colors are rare & therefore pricey. My fav color is the purple & the multi color, teal & green rank close😄 Obsessed with the oval mirror! A mirror with a beautiful ornate frame is a perfect addition to a gallery wall! (Or even several small mirrors) I agree, it would be a pretty vanity treat tray also & its the perfect color, but don't think its brass! I love when i don't have to add rub & buff to get he right color gold😊 Ornate frames have my heart! Wood or metal.. that one is beautiful! I've recently moved from Tennessee to a suburb just outside Tampa, FL. The GW there was basically just clothing, not much else. Our area was basically antique stores. We actually owned a large thrift store & there were a couple other small ones. We didn't shop for our sure, it was all donations from people around our community, left over estate & yard sale things, house clean outs, etc. I got ask my baskets from our store except my nicer egg/buttocks basket & it came from an antique store. In the area where I live now is honestly overwhelming the amount of thrift stores the are in less than 45min..10 in the town I'm in alone, 1q in the next town over. Same with antique stores, and there's a large antique mall in Tampa. I haven't had the chance to get out shopping yet but I'm SUPER excited!😁 Lol I have a long want/hunt list, hope to clear some things off! I love the old stuff..primitives, antiques, old vintage and some of my Fav to collect is Victorian/regency pieces! Ohh I'm a hoarder of old lamps!! I actually have a small-ish carved wood lamp with a shade just like that one but more of a darker ivory color & the little glass beads are lighter also. It sat on my little console table. Its actually the only one I have with the crystals, but its pretty with other Victorian pieces. Most of my lamps are antique with Brass & hobnail milk glass or brass & clear glass, candle style. I only have one other large lamp that has a fabric shade & a tiny one that has a little fabric leather looking shade that i want to change. I want to find some toile fabric & do A DIY pleated shade. I just love the really old brass & glass, Victorian look🤷♀️ My fav is my bedside lamp is a brass teapot with the clear hurricane globe & a round hobnail milk glass shade over the globe, very old piece. My other bedroom lamp is a wood & brass & hobnail milk glass base with a clear hurricane globe. I keep a pretty amber LED bulb in it for a beautiful ambiance! I just prefer lamps to overhead lighting except the kitchen & bathroom. I do keep a small lamp in those for a nightlight tho. Look like we totally like lots of the same things! I have so many different shelf's, all sizes, different wood tones, white wash..i like them alone, under a picture or in a gallery wall. So much fun to decorate! Loll i think the only difference is i like much older things.. the older, more worn, chippy & rusty the better!😉 I love all styles, that's just my preference in decorating my home!😊 That shelf is really cute, love the wood tones. I like the large jug type vase, its going to be gorgeous with fall florals/foilage for sure.. I agree, i would turn it to that side also! I don't normally buy the large pitchers unless its ironstone with crazing & staining, but the white one you have is beautiful! I love the old antique travel trunks and have one i keep all my bed linens in. I'm on the hunt for an old dark colored one or wood stained one to use for a coffee table. I don't usually care for the decorated ones in my personal decor, unless its antique. The hardware is beautiful, And that lining!!! I'm just not so crazy about the fruit.. but in the right space it'll be pretty. Ohh love your bathroom mirror!😊 I have a large chamoiserie planter that was gifted to me with blue & white as the main colors & the top rim has that same design. I had about 5 different plants in it this spring on my front porch.. stunning! I haven't seen the mallard piece before.. cute. Liberty blue is a very popular transfer ware piece! Gorgeous Brass candelabra! You can never have enough brass candlesticks, or candelabras😉 I love very old art, photos, prints or drawings of people & landscapes, old homes & barns.. my Fav Is Victorian/regency art pieces. I always google Lens my art!! There's so much reproduction art! The frame & back of the frames help tell the age also if you know what to look for. Not sure about that first piece, I'd def have to google it! I do like the second piece, more close to my personal style, and although i would still google it, i don't think $20 was too bad for an oil painting that size🤷♀️ You had an amazing haul & i totally enjoyed chatting asking, Lol could you even tell??😄 Thanks for sharing all your beautiful finds! Have A blessed weekend!(yes i know I'm late seeing this🫣)
You are fine in watching this late. Omg! I’m becoming a lamp lady too just picked up one from goodwill that will be shown in my fall haul. I love they you are drawn to all things chipping down to Victorian. My dream is to live in an old house some day. Just unfortunately they are here but not in the best of neighborhoods. Especially the schools. One day 🥰 Yes the fruit wasn’t my thing at first but my mirror made me love it. It’s the artist look something corky that made me buy it. My style isn’t for anyone my age but I decorate with a feeling something that makes me happy and has timeless written all over it. Ty so for sharing. I love reading all your comments makes my day and definitely keeps me making more videos.
@@MySimpleValleyHome Yes Honey.. that Is the best way to decorate, with what make us happy! We live in our homes, i certainly want to look around out walk in & see the things that me me smile.. that's the way it should be!😊 And we're all different in our styles or how we style.. which makes us unique! I do love sharing & getting ideas tho, that's a fun part of having these Utube videos to watch! So I do appreciate the time you guys take to put them together for us!
Hi! I’m new here & I love your finds! I I’m in love with the painting with little tear! So beautiful! The chest! Omg! And the purple lining just makes it more perfect! The huge ginger jar I think you could also use for Christmas! Unless the camera was making the colors look different than what they actually are, the maroon, green & gold’s reminded me of Christmas immediately! I subscribed because i really enjoyed this video! I’m going to go watch some past ones now! ❤❤
Hi there! Maranda Christine recommended your channel and I must say I love your channel. I will be recommending your channel with everyone I know. Your chandelier finding is truly a blessing. Thanks for sharing your fabulous findings.
@donnawallin3347 ha, ha, ha. The way you do this is simple: you cover half of the green branches with plastic tape incl. the bottom tip. You put the bunch in half full water vase, that way, they look more real for sure. Decorators do this all the time!
I have noticed that the blue and white dishes are out there again. Back in the 80's-90's it was very popular and hard to find. That was the "country" decor era, with all the geese and hearts which I have been seeing at Goodwill more. Have to agree with another commentor about the mirror-don't think it is brass. I've noticed all your hauls are season related. Where do you store all the stuff in the "off" season? The corner you're sitting in could use a little something on the wall or a big plant. Nice finds, hope you keep some of the stuff out all year, LOL!! Sorry, have to add that the trunk kinda looks like a Hobby Lobby, World Market item, not an antique. 👍
Oh I know the trunk is not an antique that’s why I said thrift goodies in my intro. Good question on storage I have a closet and a gladiator shelf in the garage and a huge kitchen island and I definitely purge.also rotating my home decor helps gives new life and feeling in different spaces. Sitting room is a small corner I film there next to my fireplace. I want to decorate my bedroom but i can’t decide on my paint color yet for that room. Huge room needs furniture too fill it up. Right now our focus is the tv unit built in then the backyard then the master. Plus my master bathroom needs work too I hate the paint color as well. Baby steps.
@@MySimpleValleyHome Totally get that. It took me 30 years to finally get my upstairs the way I wanted it. Knocked out walls, got rid of the wrought iron rails on the stairs, etc.
Both of your $2.00 plates are gorgeous. Mirror doesn’t look like brass. I love the leaf lamp shade and love the bottom trim. You have definitely been blessed with the decorating eye. You can see what goes together and where to put it. What a gorgeous ginger jar and the price was good. It’s ok to pay up occasionally for something special. I personally would not have paid $30.00 for the painting? Great thrifting!

Beautiful roses. Tip: to make them more real, put water in the vase half way.
Dont know if putting crepe paper flowers in water is a good idea

😊
Not that it makes much difference, but I think you were holding the wooden shelf unit upside down.
You can’t put anything on it the shelf up top is very narrow.
Why do you say “my pottery barn cabinet “? Why not just say hutch? I don’t call my dining room table my Drexel table. Sounds like you’re bragging.
Well it sounds like it but I’m not I do that because so people know we’re it’s from . But it was a gift from my old friend when she moved.
