Kyk has a something that other player doesn't have. So she is special, great and amazing. She was in really tough vollyball environment and wasn't supported well in her associations. Rather they got in the way of her. But she overcame all adversity and now she is on top. She is a really special person. I really admire her

very much agree.. all they see how strong the spike of Zhu but they didnt see how skillful KYK is. she receives, digs, blocks and had many serve aces way better than those other players. oh well, dont forget her spikes, if she knows the receiver could handle it she will make it slow not enough for the receiver to touch it. it will just stop right infront of her.. hahahaha. see.. that how skillful spiker KYK is.?. soon, Zhu Ting's power will diminish as she aged, the question is, could she still make it? more young players will emerge soon and more will learn how to defend her spikes.. well, we can vision out how long just she can stay here. but KYK. well, she will stay even she will reach 40.. she uses her brain in playing.. she's one of the few players that knows scoring is not just through power and strong spiking but intelligence will.
I don't think these two are comparable. Kim is slightly better at receiving but Zhu is much better at attacking and blocking. Zhu debuted at 2013 World Grand Prix and immediately won best outsider spiker award and she was only 17 at the time. It's been 7 years since Zhu debuted, she won every best outsider spiker at every major tournament she entered. I wouldn't call 7 years short and Zhu is still in her prime. Even if Zhu retires today she is still the most decorated female player after 2000. In comparison, 17 years old Kim was a nobody, she's a late bloomer and didn't really shine internationally until 2011 season when she played in Turkish league and she was already 23 back then. Kim's attacking ability didn't stay too long either. Kim is still a great player but she lacks power to carry the entire team, that's why South Korea has never and will never win a medal at world stage.

Both of them are great and each of them has own special skills like KYK can play very well untill now considering her age and her volleyball IQ is superb and her floor defense also, meanwhile Zhu is great because of her spike reach and her blocks even though her Floor defense is not like what KYK has.
If you put Zhu Ting in a team composition similar to Korea’s during the 2012 olympics, could she have carried them to a 4th place finish? This is my only argument when comparing the two. Both are great, but man, Kim has such high EQ and mental toughness that even if you put her in a team where she does bulk of the work and she is well-marked by the opponent, she still delivers and even leads her team.

Kim is a better receiver and server, but Kim was never as dominating as Zhu at attacking even during her prime. Blocking wise Zhu is miles ahead of Kim, Zhu's blocking skill is comparable to a typical middle blocker.
