I was a teen growing up in the 80s. Magic and Bird in different ways made passing popular. So passes are my favorite. Stockton. Kidd. Nash. etc. Among many others jump onboard that passing train. And I loved it
I was looking forward to you showing Caitlin Clark's behind the back pass assists. Look them up. It's worth it. Btw, my favourite is her 3 way threat, 3-pointers, taking it to the paint and her assists. It shows she is a multi-faceted once in a generation talent.
You can't pick one over the other. She is an amazing ball player and her knowledge of the game is uncomparable. When her shooting is on it is so impressive and her passing is second to none. She is an outstanding coach as she does control the game and how it's played and has taught her teammates how to be able to catch her passes and not turnover the ball. She should give the refs a masterclass on the game.
You left off one of my favorites. In the All Star game she was being face-guarded, got the ball from Boston, then shot the ball through a gap back to Boston who scored. Jonquel Jones spun around to look at Clark and you could almost hear her words: "Girl! Did you just make that pass?"
The way she can throw that full court pass on a dime a split second after she turns her head up court! Thats alot more difficult than it looks. The way she pushes it up the floor. Looking the entire time. She'll Drag her feet just a little and drift to one side....then she passes her sprinting teammate open. She started to set that play up in her head, while the player that she assisted was behind her yet. She processes that information in fractions of a second. Then throws a dime! Logo 3's are impressive and it takes alot of strength and disipline to shoot those shots effectively. But they amount of information that she has to process in a fraction of a second to make those passes is more impressive to me.
If you look carefully, almost always she glances up the court just before receiving the ball. She's building a mental picture of how the play is developing before the ball is even in her hands.
I love it that you appreciate beautiful, poetic basketball. Of note, her teammates are better passers now, too. Especially Boston. Also, I find it fun to note many baskets are made with only 3-4 seconds off the shot clock. Lastly, if you're bored, look up some of her passes from her college days. Again, beautiful basketball.
The combination of both makes her a showman. Straight box office entertainment then has never had. So all those haters might want to watch and learn if they want those shoe deals along with all the other endorsements. People want to be entertained. If I want to see old school fundamentals I’ll watch a 1950’s or 60’s NBA joint. The league is so big now because it’s high quality entertainment and that is what Clark is for the W.
Oh gosh, that’s a tough question- it’s like asking which child is your favorite. lol. I just love that she has the arsenal of both, as well as her layups and her floater. Thank you for posting this!!
One of the best comments in the vid regarding Caitlyn as quarterbacking is spot on…. So, while I love watching her shooting game, even more I love how she helps her teammates by using such kickass passing. THIS is what helped take one of the worst teams in the wnba and bringing them into the playoffs . Celebrating CC is celebrating a powerful TEAM that she plays a vital role in developing. Go CC and go Fever!
Gotta say I love this video! I would really like to know per each teammate how many assists did they each get from Caitlin, ? Not to mention how many layups were blown in spite of great passes from CC.
I agree with everything you say about Caitlin. I appreciate her passing more than her 3-pointers. Her passing skills allow you to reveal her thinking and how the team spreads out after a break. What may seem like magic is watching her mind as it unwinds and unfurls as the game progresses. She is a genius.
I’ve seen her shooting and her getting multiple fouls, I’m just now realizing with this vid that she can pass too. No wonder she blew up, I’d watch WBNA for Caitlin~
Man, what an awesome post! I saw #22 early in her junior season at Iowa. I live in Columbus, so we were exposed to CC early on through OSU basketball. I was not that interested in women's basketball then, but CC changed that for me. I commented to several people at the time that I had seen the next BIG superstar of all basketball. To answer your question; without a doubt, her shooting is unparalleled and a joy to observe. However, if you are truly a student of the game, her passing leaves ABSOLUTELY no doubt of her superior "basketball IQ." You labeled it best; "PURE POETRY." I rate here passing with Bird, Magic, and MJ. Her vision of the game is among the best I've ever seen. I'm 74 years old and I've seen a whole lot of basketball in my life and yet, some of the very best is occurring in the autumn of my life. I'm a happy guy. By the way, I've never run across your channel before, but I'm subscribed now and looking forward to more of your posts. Keep up the good work!
*Skills and character! You can confidently advise to your young boy to follow her total persona, and feeling safe isn't sexual confusion here. A down to earth real hero for our children!*
This rookie season she ended with 64-67 records total. Mix of rookie and regular wnba records including francise records as well. Theres a crazy list on X somewhere with tiny font to try and fix it all on one picture lol
I started watching women's basketball because of Alissa Pili, and then started watching Caitlin Clark as well. My favorite part of the WNBA for the entire season, is the evolution of Indiana Fever's passing game. It is truly a joy to behold.
It's always fun to get new toys. I hope you are enjoying your new camera. I like the passing the most. My first time here AB. I had to come back because I forgot to subscribe.
When people say "she's changing the game" they're usually referring to what CC does that others don't. But since she's been on the scene, you see more teams trying to push the pace, make those get-ahead passes, the paint bounce passes, the deeper threes. So she's literally changing the game like Bird and Magic did to pave the way for players like Stockton, Nash, JKidd, etc. Most of the online haters of women's hoops have suddenly disappeared. The talent is obvious, and the crowds/viewers is exploding.
She is really good at instantly assessing where everyone is and working the field to find her team mates who can score, while confusing her opponents again and again. In a nutshell she is freaking awesome and bloody fast ❤
@@AB_Sees It's true that there was no 3pt line until Pistol's last year, but that didn't stop him from shooting from what would have been far behind today's 3pt line. This is why he hold the NCAA scoring record, averaging 44.2 pts per game. If he played with today's 3pt line, he would have averaged over 57 pts per game. He shooting was insane.
Thank you. SO GLAD YOU COVERED her PASSES That is absolute poetry and teamwork there. She is ALL ROUND BRILLIANT! It’s a pity the Nike & WMBA did not show appreciation Off to Europe, but I think she’ll be back 💪🏻
Right now her best skill is passing FOR SURE. She's gotta cut TOs but that'll happen naturally. She's a top 2 passer in the game with Chelsea Gray in terms of creativity. But the diff is CC is gonna be a 25+ppg scorer very soon, which will only open more flex for the passing.
The only combination I can compare this to is Tom Brady and Randy Moss. There was always a certain poetry of motion in Randy Moss’s catches. He was beautiful to watch.
Both skills! As a feeder in Netball I just love her passing, her vision is amazing and she sure as hell can thread the needle however her shooting both in the paint and those amazing 3’s are just as good as her passing and just elevates her game as one of the best players out there… Got to say that’s the only reason I’m interested in woman’s BBall at all
CC's situational awareness and ball IQ is THE best in the league. Period

@johanlabuschagne377 Low IQ as the turnovers prove.

Thank you for this compilation. A young genius in the court, the future Steph Curry of WNBA if she lasts there and not go to Europe.
Clark to Kelsey Mitchel is showtime. Mitchel is so freakin fast. Its a QB going deep to a WR.
Glad you put that together! Love all her game!
Great job with these clips!
CCis all around baller from ball handling passing shooting court vision is miraculous. Pure poetry.
I think I heard that Caitlin had broken something like 62 records in her rookie year. Now that's impressive to me.
Clark so entertaining fun to watch!
they didnt include some of her best passes this season. there was some behind-the-back passes that were crazy nice
Damm luv those backdoor cuts.
It’s impossible to choose. Logo 3s or passing…it’s a tossup!
Pun intended?
Excellent commentary. Superb play. Incredible talent. Can't wait until next season tips.
She Plays The Game!! Like a Boss!!!
Oh gosh, that’s a tough question- it’s like asking which child is your favorite. lol. I just love that she has the arsenal of both, as well as her layups and her floater. Thank you for posting this!!
Clark. She has a very good eyes to throw
As long as her opponents aren't trying to gouge her eyes out.
Thank you for doing these compilations. Really much appreciated. I also like your brief commentary/teaching points. Well done.
Good show, young man! 👏 😊
I cant decide. The passing is sharp and crisp and unexpected and fabulous and I love her 3 point shooting!!
Love everything she does Go girl!!!❤
CC makes everyone she plays with better. Her basketball IQ is unparalleled. She is humble and is always giving credit to her teammates.
*Skills and character! You can confidently advise to your young boy to follow her total persona, and feeling safe isn't sexual confusion here. A down to earth real hero for our children!*
Both passing and scoring is just insane
Her best skill is knowing when to shoot and when to pass. She reads the room
She got them heat seeker passes 💯It's great to watch.
The best part of her game is her basketball IQ.
Catilin Clark passing and shooting the ball Catilin Clark is awesome 👍😍❤️💯💯
Enjoy her whole game. Full package
Such a great compilation video ! She makes her teammates stars with her amazing assists. Enjoyed your narration.
Clark is the best all around female basketball player in the league!
Great clips 👌 ty
Her passing is insanely stupendous 🎉... behind the back dribbling is also a favorite 🤩
Her leadership skills are remarkable
For us both 💯 The assist , the logo shot ,the behind dribble. That's why We Love Caitlin Clark #22 from the Philippines 🇵🇭. Thank you for this video 👍
If you shoot, you aren't assisting, and vice versa. But CC does both! And excellent in post-game interviews.
Clark's passing is like a laser dead on
I watch basketball to watch the fever play. I'm sixty nine years old I get excited watching the fever play
Her passing is what sets her apart. I do like the deep 3's, but her court vision and passing it what makes me tune in.
I agree!
CC’s whole game is awesome
passing, You can teach even logo 3's what she does with passes and her court vision is pretty much a gift from the basketball gods
In a nutshell she is freaking awesome and bloody fast ❤
in the NBA she reminds me most of "Pistol" Pete. Her passing and her shooting are both very much like the Pistol.
Pistol’s shooting was nowhere near that. They didn’t even have 3s😂
Thanks for the collection , shooting of course , but yeah CC's passing were dime-iNSANE!!!
She owns the league assist record already. She's got the best vision down court and the passing is the best of any other player.
This is awesome!! Thank you for the montage!! Good work!! Can’t wait for next one!!
She's just an all-around ball player! I'm an 81 yr old black fan! 😂😂😂😂
Passing love her long passes shes strong, 3s, everything!! Agree poetry!!
the best passing point guard that ever lived is MAGIC JOHNSON, and second Clark HAHAHA and thats the true
Thank you. SO GLAD YOU COVERED her PASSES
That is absolute poetry and teamwork there. She is ALL ROUND BRILLIANT!
It’s a pity the Nike & WMBA did not show appreciation
Off to Europe, but I think she’ll be back 💪🏻
Right now her best skill is passing FOR SURE. She's gotta cut TOs but that'll happen naturally. She's a top 2 passer in the game with Chelsea Gray in terms of creativity. But the diff is CC is gonna be a 25+ppg scorer very soon, which will only open more flex for the passing.
She's good at everything!
The only combination I can compare this to is Tom Brady and Randy Moss. There was always a certain poetry of motion in Randy Moss’s catches. He was beautiful to watch.
her court awareness is insane. love your breakdowns of her game.
Passing, Because it make the whole team better
CC's best attributes...
1. Court Vision
2. Passing
3. Shooting
Caitlyn is just better they hate her because she’s a perfect role model we need more people like her
Both skills!
