The original screen was heavily curved which experts say is the best way to watch a large screen movie. Later the screen was made almost flat and much later became a fully flat screen. Humongous auditorium. Such auditoriums will never come back.
The original black paint for the front big facade with white vertical stripes lighted with hidden " tube light" and the Kapalua sign at the top could be seen from the Bengaluru Railway station and from far away certain high areas of Rajajinagar during thnights.
My father. He lost lakhs on this project.. Kannadigas protested on opening day because they objected Moraji Desai. They threw stones and broke the huge glass screens at the entrance. Police opened fire killing a few protesters. It was a disaster.

Kapali theater was in Madras. Same name might be kept. In those time theater planning engineers are from madras
