Have you ever seen the TH-cam logo turn into an animated little graphic (like the Google doodle)? Those are Yoodles (and they link out to playlists that commemorate holidays, talent, events, celebrations, etc.). I'm excited to see what the artist did with it. :)

@AutumnCozy I just finished watching the Winter Solstice live stream from Newgrange Neolithic tomb in Ireland, like I do every year, and it's now 4:30am lol! I'm currently reading (for possibly the 10th time 🙈) one of my favorite books - A Year in Provence. It's a memoir by Peter Mayle, who after years of vacationing in Provence, he and his wife buy a house there, retire and move from London. The book is about everything that happens during their first year and each chapter is a month - it's funny and charming and includes great details abt French food and wine! I've recommended it to countless ppl! It was published in 1991 but doesn't feel dated

Did you record irl candle and fire movements for this? I’ve never once seen anyone artificially create truly realistic fire before. It looks incredible. Really, you’ve done an excellent job with this video.
Good eye! These are real recordings of a fire and candle flames. It really is difficult to animate realistic fire, though I don't mind it for more cartoony style scenes. I'm so glad you're enjoying this one. Thank you for the kind words!
So just so I understand, they needed someone to draw up a Yoodle, and they picked you? This is the one Yoodle? See, I'm trying not to miss any of the other Yoodles that were part of this project.
So it's still slightly unclear to me too, but I think a 2D artist created a Yoodle (a fun doodle that will replace the TH-cam logo on the 21st, so tomorrow). That Yoodle will link to a playlist that will showcase fireplace scenes from creators! At least this is what I think. They also had me record my process and they edited the whole thing into a fun sped-up short that I think will be part of it all. I'll come back here and report when I see it go live! :) P.S. It was all done in a super tight deadline, so I hunkered down and started working right away and didn't ask many questions beyond what they required of me. I didn't get any info on which other creators are a part of the project either, so I'll be seeing it all tomorrow with everyone else!
