Yes the Padres are limited with money and cannot spend $300/year like the Dodgers, Yankees and Mets who can make a mistake or lose a player to injury but spend another $100M on a free agent to replace them. But remember despite all the roster moves I think Preller did a great job of fielding a team that was one inning away from beating the Dodgers in the playoffs and as your manager said, the Padres series was the tougher series vs the actual world series.
