  • Here is hands down THE easiest and THE best Pho recipe EVER! Even the kids give it a thumbs up :) Not only that, but Szucceed's Mom LOVES it...now that should make it legit! Due to popular request, Szucceed is finally sharing his secret recipe for making Pho, an amazing Vietnamese rice noodle soup that has taken the world by storm! We here at the Ly household eat Pho every Sunday because Rasanie will have it no other way. Unlike many other recipes you see out there, it only takes a few hours to make so take the time you saved and spend it with your family...you can thank us later :)
Here is a list of ingredients you'll need. You should be able to get all of this at a Vietnamese Grocery Store near you:
Rice noodles (1 pack usually feeds 3-4 people)
Pho Beef Soup Seasoning Cubes (1 pack = 4 cubes)
    Oyster Sauce
    Salt
    White Onions
    Cilantro
    Green Onions
    Limes
    Beef Roast
Beef Soup Bones (Knuckle, but other type of soup bones will do)
    Beef Meat Balls
    A Rubber Band
We suggest these extra ingredients to enhance and customize your personal taste, but they are definitely not required:
    Thai Basil
    Bean Sprouts
    Jalapenos
    Fish Sauce
    Soy Sauce
    Sriracha
    Fried Garlic
    Chili Garlic Sauce
    Hoisin Sauce
    Sugar
Hope you enjoy the best and easiest authentic pho recipe in the world!!! :)
    Love,
    The Lys

If you have tried authentic Pho, you would know that the traditional ingredients are there for a reason.
Be creative but stay in its formula, don't be too out of box with Pho.
Oyster sauce in Pho soup is a no no, no matter how good oyster sauce tastes, plus soy sauce is not a substitute for hoisn sauce for PHo.

TIP* Whenever my mom makes goi cuon she only uses the wrappers that have rice flour and tapioca flour, bc she said they are stronger. So inspecting the ingredients in the bag of noodles that failed vs our faves, we also discovered the failed were just rice, while our fave was rice + tapioca. They are more bouncy, stretchy, chewy.

That pho doesnt seem good, no roasted star anise, ginger, coriander, cinnamon, garlic, or anything. It needs daikon, rock sugar and most of all youre supposed to clean the bones by pre cooking so that you have a consumme, clear broth. Youre missing half the flavor.

    • @SJ-yh2di
      @SJ-yh2di 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Having a clear broth is overrated and its just tradition. Last time I was in Vietnam, there were some new school restaurants that had a different spin and were roasting the bones. The broth was darker, but not cloudy, and the flavor was amazing.

When you say pho is like an epidemic in the US, cuz it’s everywhere... well, I’ll trade that everyday for an actual pandemic! But, I’m cooking pho today. So thanks for the tips. Pro tip though: Broil your bones for 20 minutes and that brisket, throw that in the freezer for two hours for easy cutting into thin cuts. That way you can control it. The broiled bones actually put depths into the soup, so you get a bit of more umami.

Don't actually freeze it. Just firm. Do like pho, but haven't had the good stuff with many ingredients. Will do, now. Thanks.
