Good question. At some local casinos, the pay tables are better at $1 denon. For example, our local pays 750 credits for a 5 spot at 5c, 25c and 50c denoms, but pays 810 credits for a 5 spot on $1 denom.
No such thing as a "winning strategy" in slots/keno, it's all random. We like to have fun with different shapes and patterns that we jokingly refer to as strategies.
