Challenge RULESET:
Explained visually at the beginning of episode 1! • 24-PLAYER Mario Kart W...
24-player, 200cc, CTGP KO mode
20 points per bonus item
Quadruple elimination until 12
Double elimination until final 2
Finishing position gets added to my point total and if I finish above 98, I lose the challenge
1 attempt per character; however, each time I get 1st place in a KO event, I can redo an event to improve my finishing position and lower my point total.
In order to win the challenge, I must complete the character chart and achieve a point total of 98 or lower!

That Luigi run might be the most dominant you've ever been in a 24-man KO event. You had 124 before the final race. You were playing sooooo well
Shoutouts to M-diamond who was on the edge of elimination in every single race in the first KO and yet still made it all the way to top 6
i can confirm that i was indeed shocked that i made it into the final 6 after all that lol
*SPOILER WARNING*
(This is a gross oversimplification)
With the win in the last KO, Troy’s average placement is 6th (with 60 combined placement points over the span of the series). If he was to use his current extra lives and replace the characters that he got 17th, 14th, 7th, and 12th with his average of 6th, his new average placement would be *3.4*.
Spanning this out among all 24 characters, he would theoretically achieve 81.6 points (round up to an 82), beating the challenge. I know that there is A LOT of variability, but he isn’t out of it yet!!
Glad somebody did the math. I get my daily dose of TWD real late when my brain's too fried to crunch numbers myself.
Ah finally I understand the rules now, I was thinking he meant points in the KO tournament itself, which confused me because then it would be beneficial to throw the game.

I used to hate Bowser’s Castle in Mario Kart 7. I suck at it. Not a bad track but it’s just a track that I’m bat at. Special Cup took me ages to get three stars. Still obsessed with the game. Freaking love games that you play for years. Spyro is also that for me.
