Nice video Jeff, I flew in 2012 from San Juan to Madrid in a A340.600, what I consider to be the most elegant and gorgeous plane ever built. Sadly almost every airline are retiring them from their fleet, even Iberia is starting to replace them this year with a A350.900 and 1000 versions. I agree with you, the old livery is better and elegant than the new one, that look simple and cheap. Thanks for the channel, I'll look forward for more of your videos.
I flew to Madrid on April 11th, 2012 so six years to the day yesterday...thanks for the reminder! Yes, sadly these older quad jets are disappearing and being replaced by the twins and their boring mostly white liveries. I am looking forward to riding on the A350 some time soon when I can line it up, just need to research the routes that fly them to where I might be going. I think the JCW does a better A340, mostly because of the improved landing gear. InFlight has a 1:200 747 and they do a really nice job with them. I am not sure about the freighter as I would never get to ride on it, but I do like the MD11.
Great Model Review Jeff Clark, I'll be going back and getting this model in a few weeks as it was a toss up of which model i was going to get, Either this model or the Lufthansa A340-600 from Gemini Jets and i went for the Lufthansa A340-600 and it's a beauty.Jeff,You're very fortunate to have this model because with the exception of Ebay, This model is almost impossible to find now.

I much prefer JC anyway. never buy a Phoenix again as they released smaug and it had paint chips engine fall off. fir the money we pay I wasn't pleased. Gemini or JC is fir me. Another enjoyable video thanks

The real aircraft didn't have the emergency wing walkway markings, Phoenix models has the walkway painted on their model by mistake as far as I am aware. Thanks for watching!
No worries, if Gemini or JC Wings ever brings out the Norwegian Dreamliner 'Greta Garbo' I will have another Phoenix duplicate like this one, I am pretty much done with Phoenix after that experience.
EC-IOB definitely has the exit walkway on the real a/c, there are very few pictures of EC-JOH other than the accident scene in Quito so it is hard to tell whether that a/c had the exit walkway, or not. Thanks for watching!
@@jefflovesjets8116 i didn't know that the model is the same aircraft reg# as the one that crash landed. and for the united, i don't see how you didn't notice that lol. otherwise beautiful model i would get one right now but i noticed right away a few weeks ago that there are no marking's on the wing.
i guess i'm just picky, witch i should't be since i've been collection since the early 90''s and all we had back then was wooster and long prosper lol i guess i got spoiled with these new diecast high detailed models, i stopped collecting in the late 90's early 2000's then started back about 2010 or 2011. ohh in the 90's we also had the choice of wood models that were expencive and still not that good detail.

An Iberia a340-600, EL AL 747-400 and a re-release of the FedEx MD-11F by Gemini200 would be a dream come true lol
