I swear, Drogon has one of the most intimidating dragon roars Ive ever heard. ( Smaug and Deathwing are the only ones that come close, and theyre all five times his size) who ever did the sound design for him is brilliant

Dragon is probably the strongest of all the dragons that lived in ASIOAF, because he's the son of Khal Drogo and in so many ways has Drogos personality, strong, fast, fearsome, fearless... he could probably rival Balerion with age.

One thing I consider, is daenerys is also the khaleesi of all the dothraki. They value strength above all else. She is also a woman and she needs to show that she is good but she needs to instill fear a well. There's a balance she has to hold.

A lot of people give her shit for executing the Tarlys but Randyl Tarly not only refused to bend the knee or take the black or even pledge to no longer participate in the war on either side, he repeatedly called the queen vulgar names. His son demanded to stand by his father in that and he's a grown ass man, a knight, and a lord, they respected his wish and let him when they couldn't convince him otherwise. Every king or queen in the show would have killed Randyl for repeatedly insulting the king/queen to their face, including Rob, John, Maergery, and even Tomein. Yet somehow when Dany did it there was this negative reaction from fans.

@@Oakland510 I think it has to do with the fact that in HOTD Targs have been shackling/keeping the dragons in stables for a while. Probably stunting their growth somewhat

The Tarliies weren't loyal to the Targaryaens because they loved the Targaryaens so much, the Tarlies were loyal because they hold loyalty up as the chiefest virtue in and of itself. Maybe if this army had shown up a year or two after the Battle of the Forks, they would have come running, but these Tarlies (especially Dickon, who is too young to have ever served the Targaryaens himself) are loyal to the throne of Westeros, which is now inhabited by a Lannister.

Here she was addressing a group of men who had just besieged and looted Highgarden,killing Lady Ollena,one of her principal allies in Westeros and just shot her dragon.They were prisoners of war,you either kill them,make them bend the knee or let them go when the war is over,you don’t just let them leave.

@@randomguy4167 It might be two very different circumstances, including the important distinction that before the unsullied all Daenerys had was a handful of Dothraki and three dragons, whereas against the Lannisters she had a full army of Unsullied and a full army of Dothraki.
But Cersei likely doesn't like slavery either, much like pretty much everyone in Westeros. They're not going to lift a finger to end it like Daenerys did, no, it wasn't something they were surrounded with or were willing to start a crusade to end, but if Daenerys had shown up with an army of slaves it is far less likely Olenna and Ellaria would have joined them because they'd face mutiny from their Bannermen.
Daenerys speaks like she's a saint, like she's good and kind and she's here to save Westeros.
Her words can be very seductive, and for those who follow her, the unsullied and all the slaves she freed, she's already changed their world so they want to help her change her world in Westeros.
The Dothraki are following the strongest leader they've ever had, a khaleesi who killed all the khals and rides a dragon. We can also assume she's put an end to their raping and pillaging, put an end to their participation in slavery as well, changing their world.
Her actions however, are only marginally better than Cersei's would be with access to a dragon.
It's like Jon said, if she uses the dragons to burn cities and melt castles, she's not different, she's more of the same.
The Dothraki were far more than enough to deal with the Lannister army, Drogon was entirely unnecessary for that fight, and she more than likely knew that and took Drogon anyway. Even if she did not know the Dothraki were enough, she opened with Drogon, she didn't have him there in case the Lannisters could defeat the Dothraki, she used Drogon from the start.
If Cersei had a dragon she would have taken that dragon and burnt Dragonstone to the ground as soon as there was an opening to. Daenerys was talked out of that one by Jon.
Cersei is essentially Daenerys without anyone to talk her out of her first, typically violent, response.
By the end that is made clear when in Daenerys eyes everyone around her but Grey Worm was either dead or betraying her, there was no one to talk her out of bringing the sky down on the heads of the people of King's Landing.

Then comparing Dany to Cersei. With or without a dragon, Cersei is clearly someone who cares for nothing but her children and Jaimie. There is no kindness or empathy in her for other people.
Dany is the opposite, having no blood to fight for except the people she meets and liberates.
Is she perfect? No.
A little too impulsive sometimes? Yes.
Could she have gone mad at the end? Yes.
But nothing in the show up to that point depicted anything but a benevolent ruler fighting to free her people.

Cersei is simply more honest about who she is and who she cares about. Daenerys is lying to herself and others, her reasons for freeing the slaves were ultimately selfish. Her goal was always the Iron Throne, not liberating slaves, the liberation of Slaver's Bay gave her power she needed for the Iron Throne, and slavery was something she saw as wrong, but if she had a path to the Iron Throne without having to liberate Slaver's Bay she would have taken it. Liberating Slaver's Bay got her the Unsullied, and eventually the Dothraki. Before that she had three baby dragons and a handful of Dothraki, not exactly a fearsome contender

If she wants her actions to prove her words, that she's different and merciful, she shouldn't start out with the deadliest weapon she has. That is pretty easy to understand, but maybe that's not the case for everyone.
If she wanted to prove she doesn't want to be queen of the ashes, maybe don't start out the first major battle in Westeros with dragonfire.
If her actions matched her words she'd only use the force necessary to achieve her goal and nothing more.
The Dothraki were more than enough, they were slaughtering the Lannisters essentially for sport at that point.
And they had that reputation, Robert Baratheon clearly understood the threat of the Dothraki despite having never seen them before, only a fool would meet the Dothraki on an open field.
If he knew full well, it's hardly likely the Dothraki didn't know their own reputation, hardly likely Daenerys didn't know the Dothraki would be more than enough.

I know it’s because of the writers but Daenerys should’ve easily just won without any effort. And if only she just pulled from history how the conqueror himself aegon did it she would’ve realized that brutality and sacrificing innocents for the greater good is worth it and if you truly wanted it. He gave the people of Westeros plenty of chances to kneel and those that did he awarded greatly and treated them as near equals instead of enemies…. But he also knew when one was to stubborn and when sheer brutality was needed. Harren the black learned that when aegon reduced harenhall the supposed greatest fortress to have ever been built to ruin and ended his line. Many lords knelt to him after out of fear at first but grew to admire him. And those that still didn’t he made quick work of (prime example is the field of fire). Danerys should’ve know cersie would never have given up and burned the red keep to the ground with her in it and make an example of her. The 7 kingdoms were forged with fire and blood don’t know why she didn’t think retaking them wouldn’t require the same.

I know everyone talks about drogons roar but honestly the most intimidating things about him to me are his screeching sounds before hand, it gives so much life to him and reminds me more of how quietness can be more scary.

After watching HOTD it’s wild that even though Drogon is big for his age and his roar is loud and powerful but he still roars like a baby 7 year old dragon baby

CGI dragons were literally the best characters in the show. They all, but especially Drogon-I-am-my-momma's-boy was the best. You can see how annoyed he is that no one takes his mother seriously.

King Viseyrys told his daughter that they aren't close to Gods as they believe themselves to be....it is the dragons that made them so high. Without dragons they are just another house. Here Drogon symbolizes that...
But they are the only active house that’s managed to control dragons so they deserve achievement for that

Exactly. When she freed the Unsullied, she gave them a choice to leave and be free. In all the places she went to in Essos, she never threatened death to those she desired to liberate if they didn't join her.
This was a huge indicator that she was going mad. She should of known full well that many of those men were conscripts; borderline slave soldiers. Yet she threatened them with death if they didn't join her.
This isn't the Daenerys that we knew and loved in Essos. She's becoming the very thing she swore to destroy.

Even in the first series as she's being forcefully taken by Drogo she goes from distressed to zoned out smiling looking at the dragon eggs where the insinuation is she's thinking if they're real she can get her payback. She locks her handmade and one of the trader kings in a vault to basically eat eachother before dying in season 2. She walked into a funeral pyre to die willingly when Drogo died. She crucified all of the nobles regardless of committing crime in season 4.
There was always signs she was unhinged from the beginning, people just reason it away with "but before it was deserved behaviour" rather than it's always been mad regardless if it was deserved or not.
@@TimberlakeTigerGirlalso, the way Unsullied were... well, created, for lack of a better term, they were stripped of their whole identity. They had nothing outside of their duties. Barely more than robots (yeah, I know, but the inhumane torture and psychological experiments they were subjected to since infancy lead to that) - a slave of many years would fear freedom, now imagine how Unsullied felt. It was a given they follow a new master. And she knew it. It is made clearer in the books, but Dany was aware that chances of them not following her on her offer was slim. And that is precisely why she didn't make the same offer to the Westerosi soldiers. Because yeah, they are serfs, but not slaves. They weren't made into almost robots like Unsullied. Outside of when their vassal lord needs them for war, they have lives, families, children, parents, hometowns, *patches of land they own and cultivate* , other property they owned (that's what liege lord-vassal relationship is: the lord grants the vassal land and other goodies to own, and when time comes vassal needs to serve the lord as thanks, but also the lord swears to protect the vassal if the vassal is attacked - it's all VERY different to the Essos slavery situation and especially to Unsullied lives) - Daenerys knew that without threat they would not follow her, so she had to force them into servitude. She didn't do it with Unsullied because she knew she didn't have to. It was just an emotional manipulation, plain and simple.
Hence people who actually paid attention and didn't just jump onto the "ohhhh dragons cool😍" bandwagon , saw all the signs for it going downhill in the future waaaaaaaaaay before she came to Westeros
