I loved everything you shared and that last card was Beyond !!! Want that stamp, those foil paste and your talent. First time watching but not my last. Loved everything.
The final card you created deserves a WOW! The swirl of the green foil angled with the white card stock and the pop of colors from the flower and the white embossed sentiment on black make this card perfection!
Hey Simon. I've had really good results using a regular finger dauber and the Heidi Swapp toner ink, for a flatter finish. I found Tim Holtz roller technique to be way too messy and ink would often seep into the stamps and smudge. The ink dauber is handy if you just want to foil a sentiment and just need a little bit of ink on your stamp. You just need to wait about 5 minutes for the ink on the dauber to dry a bit so it becomes a bit sticky, and then use it.
Simon, I have been making cards and scrapbook pages FOR A LONG LONG TIME...you were probably a toddler when I started but I always learn something new in your videos so thank you for that and your creativity! I soooo appreciate all the help I can get!
These are great tips. I was struggling with foiling this past weekend, so this video is super timely. Your cards are beautiful! Thanks for sharing your talents. 🥰
I went to Staples and had them print sheets of cardstock full sheets of the right toner a lot cheaper then the toner sheets. Beautiful cards thank you for sharing.
Be still my heart… another use for my Lunar pastes!!! You made my day!! Beautiful cards, the diagonal cut really did step it up, along with the ink rolling on the stamps. TYFS these terrific ideas 👍🏻😀👏🏻👏🏻🌷🌻
Wow! Lots of great ideas! Love the gold/rose gold hearts. The green paste on the green cardstock was gorgeous, and the rainbow eggs were my favorite! ❤
Thank you Simon! I have struggled with this type of foiling, but now I understand it better. My favorite card is the floral foiled full background with water colored flowers on the front. Stunning! As always, your videos are a real treat!
So I just tried using an embossed image to foil with my laminator. First time trying it &... WOW perfect! Thanks so much for all the tips. Now I need your Water Marble stamp. That card was stunning!
I love these cards. I don’t have a glimmer foul machine and had no idea I could make cards like this with my laminator. The cards you make with the toner paper make great cards too. You always have great ideas.? Thank you!!!!
Beautiful cards and ideas - I like that I can use versa Mark ink, clear embossing powder and foil - what a great idea instead of having to rely on toner - and I like that I can use the shimmer paste - going to have to try that - thanks for sharing your creativity
Thanks, Simon, for the great tips for foiling!! I think that diagonal cut on the last card really made it my favorite! Loved the green Lunar Paste on green cardstock - very effective. I don't think I would have been brave enough to try my Lunar Pastes directly onto a stamp, but it was gorgeous.
The mixture of of lunar paste, foiling, and your st stencils and background stamps is beautiful. I love your sentiments, any chance an entire sentiments stamp set again?
Loved your video, I have mostly stampin up supplies, but after watching this video I need to go shopping on your site, I have subscribed to your you tube and am looking forward to watching n many more, and lots of shopping with you. Thank you
One suggestion...I'm a sewer...you might not want to use the rotary cutter on glass...besides it being dangerous, because of slippage..you dull your blade
Maker. Cricket rotary cutter is made for just what he was doing and the mats are non breakable vinyl glass that do not harm the blade. Been using mine for year and do not sew. His execution of foiling was perfect and his last card was perfection.
OMG the Green Foiled Card- I have several of the lunar pastes and am SO SO mad I do not have the green - time for a new order and the small blending brushes
Another super video with lot of great and helpful information! My favorite is definitely the last one with the flower and diagonal cut background with the green foiled piece - soooo shiny! [As an aside (just kidding): It seems that every time you mention using the Fiskars spring assist scissors for fussy cutting in a video, the price of these scissors on US Amazon goes up to around $27 (ha ha) - I bought mine for just under $7 ]
Hi Simon, I think this video is terrific - I really like the format. My favourite card is the last one, that diagonal cut is striking. I love the water/marble stamp!
Hi Simon. I love your creative techniques as you come up with artistic and unusual perspectives. I never can predict what you’ll do. Thank you for the challenging layouts and materials!
