Inspiring as always, Milly. I don't seem to do as well just prepping components. If I don't have a meal ready to go, that's when I'll go to the store for a bag of chips. Silly I know! I'm a binge eater so it's always a struggle. But I have planned my meals for the week. Falafel wraps, aloo gobi, and Philly "cheese" spuds. Since I retired a year ago, I won't need to do all the meal prep today like I used to do when I was working. Just need to do the falafel today and maybe cook the potatoes. Wish me luck staying on track this week. Just had a thought about prepping components. I could still have specific recipes in mind but prep some of the ingredients. Like I mentioned the potatoes for the Philly "cheese" spuds (the "cheese" sauce is already made). Look forward to seeing what you make with the components you prepped.

Can totally see that, When my girl was smaller have meals that are completely prepped was easiest & the way to go or else I wouldn't eat well. I have seen people do prepped salads, soups, pastas in jars that can just be dumped in a bowl and it's ready. That sounds like yummy menu! Best of luck 🙌🏾

Mason jar you knocked against something. Doesn't happen very often but can. I used them in freezer and refrig, and to can for over 40 yrs. Watched one of your other videos kept me from eating out tonight. Thank you. Peace!

wow! that's amazing, I've never tried canning before. I was in shock because at that moment I handled it normally.
I love that! hope you enjoyed your meal 😋

Hola!! I noticed something yesterday when I air fried the prepped tofu, it has so much more flavor & comes out much crispier 👍🏽 Let me know if you liked it :) What's your favorite way of having matcha??
Haven't seen my grandma since I was around 11 so for her to make this for me was so sweet of her. ☺️
That makes me so happy, glad I can share what has helped me!! ☺️ have a great week!!

Hi milly, My favorite was#2, I love spicy ,soy and garlic, so I made a double batch because my brother is always trying out my food 😋, we made broccoli and jasmine rice too!! it was delicious, // As for the matcha I buy it at a little drive thru place called, " THE HUMAN BEAN"" It's like a frozen smoothie, I like it with oat milk and splenda🍵👍, But I'd much rather make it at home, cso I'll buy matcha at sprouts and make your suggestion 🍃🍵, // Your granmas gift took me back to my preteen years when I'd spend a few week in the summer,at my granmas house in Tijuana, she'd have a toalla that was embroidered to go buy our 1/2 kilo of tortillas 🌮, that smell at the tortilleria is one I will never forget 😋 yummy. OK be Blessed 👋🌸🤍🩷

thank you so much for this video, your videos bring me so much joy. that blanket is so beautiful, the one your grandmother gave you, what a super sweet gift thank you for showing this! the colors are so beautiful, did she make it herself?
how do you find the instant pot? i'm thinking of buying one, do you feel like it's worth the money? how is the cleaning? is it a lot of work or can you put it in the dishwasher? (not like the whole instant pot but the little pan i mean? sorry english is my third language hope i explain/ask it well).
    thank you again ♥

Thank you so much, makes me so happy to know these are helpful. Right? Yes, she did make it herself :) Haven't seen her since I was around 11 years old so for her to send me this was just the sweetest gift.
I actually received the larger instant pot/Air fryer & the mini one as gifts :) I know they can be found on Amazon & Target. I use both often and for sure think it's worth the money especially if you cook beans, grains & soups often. We like the large air fryer one because it's convenient to have just one appliance that does everything since we have a small kitchen (one day I hope to get the cool air fryer stove)
As for the cleaning, it's pretty easy. On the air fryer feature, as long as I have the silicone basket the clean up is a breeze! Without it though, stuff can get stuck. The pan itself for both as long as you rinse stuff off right after emptying it out comes out easily too with just a rinse, no scrubbing needed. I would say though, when you cook rice make sure it doesn't sit there because then little bits do stay stuck. It can be added to the dishwasher but it's so easy to clean I often just wash it myself.
I've added them both to the description box if you'd like to check them out. :)
My recommendation is if you have a small family and already have an air fryer or if the oven is fine with you, a small regular instant pot would be enough. If you have a larger family and don't need an air fryer it also comes in a 6QT & 8QT size. :)

That matcha powder seems like a good deal. Encha is my favorite, but Sunwarrior seems worth a try. What is your favorite brand matcha so far?

    • @JoywithPlants
      @JoywithPlants  ปีที่แล้ว

Sure is! before sun warrior I would mostly get matcha drinks from coffee shops so not sure which brands they used.
Have purchased one off amazon but I don't remember the brand and Jade leaf but it's pricey for the amount 😅 so I would say that sun warrior is up there for taste and price ☺️ especially because now I can feel at liberty to add it to anything lol
