Although overtaken is a great piece, it has been out for a long time, and has been played a lot, so it's nice breath of fresh air to see a new take on it
This is dope, great job! Two suggestions for future tracks... one is to use lower hitting drums or stick to 90% drums since since many of these 'drums of liberation' versions you've made are still very melodic that mostly lean on drums as a supporting instrument while brass/violin/piano/etc. takes the center stage. Luffy is all instinctual and I feel really sweeping drums that stimulate the chest when played on an alright subwoofer would match his endlessly-energetic nature more. The other suggestion? A remix of the instrumental version of the old german intro song, because it slaps and I think it would do really well with all these 'drums of liberation' themed remixes you've been doing. Whatever projects you end up tackling next, I am sure you'll do great!
Thank you for the suggestion! You’re right I definitely should emphasise the drums more. Unfortunately percussion writing is my weakest area which is why I lean on the other side of the orchestra. I’m also using this drums of liberation series as much needed practice to improve my drum writing. Next time I’ll put more effort into emphasising the drums!

The composer probably wasn't informed of the importance of the drums as a thematic element, so I don't want to blame them either.. but it is an unfortunate trend knowing what we know now about the story and how long it will still take for the anime to get there.
I'm subscribed since your "Sun God Luffy Gear 5 Theme" Cover about 3 weeks ago. Since then I play that one in the background when I read the newest chapter. Now it seems I can ad another hit in the mix. Just imagine this playing at the moment when Luffy jumps in front of the full moon laughing while in Gear 5. This cover is the greatest one that I've heard so far. I don't think anyone on TH-cam can outdo you on this one. When he gets nika mode you need to be the one who they call to do the theme. You would make the transformation sound so badass.
The sad thing how amazing this piece is by the creator, and how lesser of quality the anime episode version of Joyboy theme will be. Fans always make the best stuff in the end, more so than the company itself. Excellent work!
