Just in case someone else comes across this video when looking for a way to get crystals, if you do decide to try and get the ones in the radiated section of the void, you can do so using an L class mining ship with 2-3 shield modules(you need a little over 500 MW shield regeneration rate). You can't do it the normal way, and just target the crystals, but since its just a tiny piece of asteroid with a crystal cluster on it your mining laser turrets will do the job, turn your drones off while in the zone though or they will die to the radiation. Good luck spacemen :)
also i took my Osaka and put flak turrets to mining and I ended up finding crystal like no other ..maybe little too easy as it has become harder to collect them all than to actually find em ( went from no bandenite in 30 mins into 150 in 5 mins and that was awesome as I needed those for a quest)
The crystals aren't hiding, the problem is they are not showing up for some people. You are basically exploiting a bug in the game to make a guide that will never work for the ones running into the invisible crystal blink issues, because for some reason the guide is made on the assumption people idiots and need a guide for seeing blinking lights and not to address the real problem that some don't get the blinks due to graphics issues.
Well, if you don't know, that these blinking lights actually represent valuable crystals, you could mistake them for a star in the distance obscured by a rotating asteroid. We assume, people know this, because know this, but if you think back to your beginner days in X4, how little did you know compared to now?
@@MagiconIce I was always mistaken them for a shadow resolution glitch, because those are all over the place on the roids - random pixel blinking white, not because it's a crystal, but because it's just a rendering issue...
Then there's me, flying lone straight lines through asteroid fields and turning flight assist off so I can keep rotating around to look for a glint.
Haha, I tried “void” crystal farming too… ended up without a ship…. Haha
Yeah, I think we have all lost a ship to the Void at least once but it is a really good place to farm crystals if you go prepared

No. I've gone through the Void and in 10 minutes couldn't find a single crystal. Egosoft seemed to have nerfed that for good.
