This is still one of the best moments in EE. Also was so weird for the months following when they had no vic shots, given almost every epsiode (bar special focused ones) get at least one shot there
She was a loveable person really ' she may have been hard as nails ' but you couldn 't help admiring her ' espc the tough life she 'd had ' and with an abusive violent husband ' and two mentally unstable sons to contend with ' its no wonder she was so thick skinned.
remember this episode well my sister in law went into labour right in front of me drove her 20 miles to the hospital my brother was away on a work coarse the other side of the country he didnt get there till 5 hours later. so i sat in the waiting room of the hospital watching eastenders and playing on a old ps2 till he arrived lol
I think she said it because the vic would have been destroyed anyway. The explosion blew the doors off and committed major damage to the pub and flat. The pub would have been wrecked, even if the firemen helped stop the fire.
Yeah! It was way more powerful than the ale explosion which killed Olivia and Joe after The Dog blew up (due to Sam Owen's petrol bombing) in Hollyoaks. The Queen Vic ales must have more explosive punch than the ales in The Dog!
@@Craigevansagain It was a flash over caused by inflammable alchahol stocked in the bar ' and draught due to open doors and lots of people running out.
the show hasn't been the same since 2015, it just started to be boring and most of the characters got pushed aside for the new ones, the 2000 and 2010's were the best time to be an eastenders fan
and shortly after the episode where the Queen Vic burned, PBS pulled East Enders off the Air here in the states. But Now Its back on Monday night at 8 Yaaaa! My friend and I Loooove this show even tho we're Yanks! HA HA
The explosions would have been even more dramatic if they used the stock crash and explosion sound effects from Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Just saying.
Kind of makes me think she cared more about the Pub than anything else. Its only when she looks over at Ronnie and Roxy she realises Faaamilly is more important.
I know there was a fire before but definitely end of an era, All the stuff that happened A was Vic riot, Sharongate, Den murdered again, Archie killed, Kat & Alfie etc
This is by far the most dramatic Eastenders moment ever.
Omg this part had me in floods of tears. Poor Peggy😢😢
It's her fault
Haha at 2:40 when she says let it burn. I remember this so clearly from when it first aired, lol
This is still one of the best moments in EE. Also was so weird for the months following when they had no vic shots, given almost every epsiode (bar special focused ones) get at least one shot there
That was such a good closing shot!!
peggy saying let it burn still gives me goosebumps.
picturing Peggy running up to the doorway of the burning pub Yelling at the Fire " Get the El Outta me Pub!"
I can't believe Peggys gone- She was the queen vic

may look like an asshole comment but they wouldnt let me in with her because i wasn't the father and i didnt want to leave till my brother arrived
Peggy said at the end let it burn let it burn
