There are few choreographed pieces to hardly any song out there that I just have to remind myself to exhale on...this was one of them. Stunning. Not to mention thoughtful choreography for the number of dancers onstage. The use of partner work and formations was, simply put, brilliant.
I hate to be that guy, but I feel like the skill of the dancers deserved better costumes, set, and lighting. I hate to see all that practice, and all that perfection be dulled by horrible set and wardrobe management. I loved the black and nude concept, but the continuity was interrupted by the differences in each dancer's attire. It was too similar to be quirky, and not similar enough to be synchronous. It unbalanced the whole thing. The dancers were amazing. Everything else just took away from them. Edit: These dancers are truly amazing. I'd watch them in a garage with overhead lighting. This is really good. Who is the gentleman with the perfect pirouette, and where is he now?
