Mitti cool fridge is a nice idea but vegetables get spoiled within two days. Fungus gets attacked soon. Requires regular cleaning unlike normal fridge. This is my experience...

You can't make them out of clay. Won't spin properly. It's probably recyclable plastic so it's fine.
They can try using stainless steel or brass tap
