People need to realize that Slaf is making the rebuild go faster.
We may not find our Panarin, but he panned out much fast than Lafrenière who is finally finding his groove.
We need to go for a big piece. We're ready to fight for a playoff spot.

I still think that Juraj Slavkovský is a really great person, with an incredibly nice personality. It's hard at that age to deal with so much stress from the games, with all the fame. And yes, it's true that he's really big, but that doesn't mean he's a monster. The whole country wouldn't fall in love with a violent player who represents himself as a literraly monstrum. But Slovakia, and the whole world with him, loves a young boy who has incredible talent, charisma, a sense of humour and, along with a big body, a big heart.

I really want us to pick a Tom Wilson type big player who isnt afraid to be a menace and physical but also puts up goals. That’s the kind of thing that gets you far in the playoffs. Dach from what I have seen has that dog in em and slaf is coming into his own in this respect, but a few more to surround Cole and Suzuki won’t hurt, hard to play against will be the word to describe this team

Just to get some perspective from Europe and Slovakia. Slaf is definitely not that celebrated by hockey experts, media and national team management after cursing refs and making fun of opponent. Many see it as very unnecessary and disrespectful. Here in Slovakia, we would be growing up looking at our idols like Hossa, Demitra, Satan, Chara, Gaborik, Stastny... (list is long) and we would always value paying back to opponents by delivering the result and leaving the heart out on ice, but humble, never disrespecting others. In fact that was exactly what we've seen from Slaf this season in MTL, so he earned our hearts as clear future leader that builds upon shoulders of our former stars. That's why some ppl are rather surprised by some of his expressions in last 2 games. Swedish TV-expert Erik Grunqvist, Slovak GM Miro Satan and our coach (Canadian) Craig Ramsay were very unimpressed and the last 2 are trying to calm him down. Ramsay said that it is never good idea to fight refs and also tens tactic does not build on creating conflicts. If Canadian player would show crying gesture as Slaf did, he would be most hated player in Europe, but Slaf is getting away with it for now. Some even like it for sure, but definitely very polarising. Hockey experts here in Europe are saying Slaf/Slovakia will definitely get in trouble in matches against big opponents, because now every team knows that Salfs fuse is very short, so they will easily throw out our best player.
Funnily - just before Worlds started and our (SVK) managers closed the roster, they were very unsure if to keep Pospisil in, because of his ability to spark conflicts. The guy who is seen as the most positive surprise of the season for Calgary Flames coach. And after 2 games, we can see that Pospisil is actually delivering what Ramsay wants him to do. Leading 3rd line better than any other centre, being very physical, but staying out of trouble. Hopefully Slaf will get his temper a bit under control. We hope he can become future captain of Chara´s caliber.
    Cheers to Montreal.

A zvysok zlatej generácie mal problémy zvládať tlak a to je presne dôvod prečo nikdy Slováci nenaplnili potenciál ktory vtedy mali. Mentalita sedliakov.

Matheson and pick 24 for pick 2, 3 , or 4 adds up to at least 2 solid additions with our #5 pick! Catton, Iginla, Lindstrom or Demidov. So our lineup would be.....Suzuki, Cole, Lindstrom. Dach, Slav, Mesar, Newhook Roy, and Catton......or Iginla or Demidov. With a D that,'s deep we should be a strong challenge for the playoffs. MSL has a lot of promise. Oh yes a 4th line of Beck, Evans and Armia who can score and shut down as well as HABS checking lines from the past...

Aint no way. Slaf is staying on the first line, or at least he stays paired with Suzuki.. It makes no sense to split them up. Also Mesar, as much as I like him, I think he should be happy to be a bottom 6 forward in the NHL
