Welcome back! Not Today is one of my mantras. Due to many health issues lately, both my husband & I feel like every day is a literal struggle to survive. It's easy when you are severely ill, to lose hope & get stuck thinking, "What else is going to go wrong?" There are actual days when it feels like you can barely crawl. But I am trying my hardest to turn those thoughts into "Not Today, today we will survive." I don't say this to elicit sympathy, but to express how grateful I am for BTS & ARMY. They truly create "music for healing." I would not be able to keep grasping for a hopeful outlook in spite of our ongoing health challenges, if not for this community & this music.💜

Hi dear. 69yo ARMY here. Just yesterday I realized it had been a while since I had seen you. It's good to see your smiling face again. Oh, and they filmed this in a quarry and if I remember correctly they filmed there all day...so it didn't "suddenly" become dark for them...lol.

If you see this message, make a note near this song on your list, don't watch the lyrics video with a huge amount of views, the translation is horrible (they were the first one to upload the lyrics for this song that's why they have the views). One video with good translations (at least no obvious mistakes) is on the youtube channel Tricardo. I will try to attach the link but youtube usually doesn't let me.
This was the song that made me Army….I was in a dark place, divorce, moving in with my mom to take care of her, scoliosis, taking care of my nieces and nephew in addition to my own children,covid….the pain I stay in 24/7 had me to a point where I didn’t want to continue…My daughter said “ Mom I want you to listen to this song but you’ll also have to read lyrics “ it was concert performance of Love Myself. Not even halfway in I broke into a million pieces. I’ve been in this hole since 2019 and so glad they extended that helping hand to me.💜💜💜💜💜
This song was kind of like an anthem of rebellion against what society tells you the path you should take and when you don't follow it. Standing up against the norm and choosing a different path is not easy and sometimes you will have run and/or fight. You won't let them beat you down or k-ll you. Not Today! THEY FIGHT!!

Em 2023 eu estava em um emprego bem mais ou menos e tinha dias q eu ficava "o q eu tô fazendo aqui afinal?" e sempre q eu pensava em desistir vinha essa mensagem do começo da música: A day may come when we lose, but is not today. Today we fight. Era a mensagem q eu usava pra não desistir daquilo, coloquei até em uma lousa de lembretes q tem aqui em casa, assim eu podia ver todo dia antes de trabalhar e lembrar disso.
