I really appreciate how you didn't mind showing us how your studio actually was! I myself dont mind the messy studio look, my art space is almost always messy and cluttered and stained with paint😋 I think that just comes with the process of creating as an artist
I appreciated this video too,it's nice to know that other artists are messy 😊 Right now I'm living in a tiny apartment so I don't have alot of space,and even thought Mira said it's a small room it's still bigger than the tiny closet I have my art and craft supplies in right now..when I move to a bigger apartment,I'd like to have a room where I can have all my art and craft supplies and it has a door to keep my cat out of when I'm not in there LOL 😸 Actually this video helped to remind me that when the weather cools down here that one of the things I need to do is reorganize my art and craft supplies so thanks for that 😊👍

I loved seeing the studio as is! It makes me feel a whole lot less guilty about how mine is always a mess. I think it would be cool if you played with more of the Arteza stuff and shared it with us. "it's a nice commute down the hallway"?
It’s nice that you were able to show your art room with it’s messy parts. A lot of my art supplies are in my small bedroom, along with much of my doll and stuffed animal collections, etc. so things are always cluttered. I’m still working on trying to clean my room again. It definitely doesn’t stay clean and tidy for long.

You should do a video explaining the difference between each type of paint for those that don’t understand haha mostly for me but I think it would be interesting!
When you said your workspace was messy, well I kinda expected it was way worse than it was. You have to admit, it wasn't so much messy, as it was well used. That is a kinder description of it I think. After all, you use it every day for work, and work spaces are always in a state of flux; they are always churning out work, so by that definition you would expect it to be a bit lived in. What you showed us was a small space where a creative works. It's a lovely, bright and comfortable looking room, and it had a certain indefinable Mira-ness about it. It was full of your creativity and style, and I really liked it. Thank you for bringing us into that aspect of your life.

You made me feel better about having supplies stored that I fell out of love with or never opened or had great plans for that subsequently changed or forgot about until they were excavated, usually whilst looking for something else. Randomly putting things in drawers and boxes when I'm cleaning is how I manage to loose track of a lot of stuff, and never seem to get around to sorting them out later. It's time to change that.
Your hair looks amazing! and you look great in red. I like a messy desk. There used to be some tv show with Ray Bradbury on it, or that he wrote or something. And at the start it showed him sitting at a cluttered desk. And the camera panned around all the little trinkets on his desk, and he's usually get inspired by something and start typing. If a messy desk is the sign of a messy mind, then what is a clean desk the sign of? An empty mind?
I am getting into inks more lately, I am hoping to get the set one of the Dr. ph martin inks, and colored pencils. You have such a lovely studio, I just got a larger room for my studio space so I can't wait to get back into youtube and work on launching my shop. I love seeing your studio space, it just looks so inspiring. I applaud you for showing your real work space. Mine doesn't look super neat all the time either, especially when I had too small of a room.

We would ABSOLUTELY want to see you utilize your watercolor pencils in an art piece. Perhaps you can draw a flower garden with a hummingbird hovering over it, its beak sipping nectar from a brightly colored flower, such as a petunia.

I offer this advice: When painting Plein air, watercolor painting is the easiest medium to use. I have tried just about every medium of note in Plein air. I hope you consider trying Denise’s Earth Friendly Watercolor Palette! I hope you remember the offer? I have high hopes for you and your watercolor journey and I just know that you would enjoy it and perhaps even love it! I am struggling with soft pastels just now and desire to use watercolor is mounting in me! I have a suspicion that I am just trying to avoid the pastels but I need to stick with the sticks! Mira, I don't have an art "room" I have a section of basement I call the art cave. Not as scary as it sounds. My friends like hanging with me down there while I create. I even got a butterfly chair for them. Your sanctuary doesn't have to look like a catalog.

It's so nice to not have tech permanently on my desk! I feel like it helped me cut back significantly on screen time and improved my mental health/productivity while working!

Your artroom is so tidy... you should see my place... my whole living room is my craft room. It started small, with a desk and silently I took over all the bookshelves and the cupboards and closets (don't know the difference between these last 2 lol being not native english)... and then came the living room table. (For 10 people) and then came the coffee tables. We had 1 so we put a second one so we have at least 1 for drinking coffee... And then... because I lay down most of the time, there are to boxes and a rolling table next to me and have of my couch is full of stuff... painting and jewelry making... pffff.... so yes you have a tidy workplace... if I could do the stairs better I could make a craftroom upstairs. I have enough rooms. They aren't in use anymore. Because my 4 kids left the home and we are only with 3. My hubby, my stepson and me. Pfffff....... lol... room enough... but not mobile so I claimed the whole livingarea. Oh and the cellar to... lol
a cupoard is more for like cups and spoons and plates, a bookshelve is for books and a closet is for clothes or storage boxes (as a native english speaker)
@@someonesomeone68 oh and objects where you put your paperwork and other stuff? No cloths, no cups, no books... all the other stuff you have growing in your living room. It's ab big wooden thing, deeper than a bookshelf but also with layers and you can stuff it full with... everything... do that has a name? Like in my language you have a "kast" and when it's for books you name it book"kast", for clothes, clothes"kast", for kitchen, kitchesn"kast", and then you have other forms that are also a kast, but have special names. Like a dressoir, an etagere, a bar, a voorraadkast (pantry I think)... so I want to know the general name of all those "kasten" (pluriel)... just want to learn...

That was "The Ray Bradbury Theater", at least I'm pretty sure that's what it was called. I loved that show as a kid, I'm a horror nut.

What a fabulous studio tour! Thank you for sharing and not “cleaning” the space. I really want to see some watercolor painting, you can even use the watercolor pencils! I offer this advice: When painting Plein air, watercolor painting is the easiest medium to use. I have tried just about every medium of note in Plein air. I hope you consider trying Denise’s Earth Friendly Watercolor Palette! I hope you remember the offer? I have high hopes for you and your watercolor journey and I just know that you would enjoy it and perhaps even love it! I am struggling with soft pastels just now and desire to use watercolor is mounting in me! I have a suspicion that I am just trying to avoid the pastels but I need to stick with the sticks! Mira, I don't have an art "room" I have a section of basement I call the art cave. Not as scary as it sounds. My friends like hanging with me down there while I create. I even got a butterfly chair for them. Your sanctuary doesn't have to look like a catalog.

I have that almost exact chair (mine has arm rests) but in dark green! love it so much.

< only messy while actually painting. I tend to get it in the most unexpected places and then go "how did that happen?". Otherwise I have to be organized or I just get uneasy.

I love looking at other peoples studios! I am jealous of your desk because there is no computer or tech on it apart from your laptop... Maybe I should get a laptop.. But I have a graphics tablet soooo maybe not. I just need a place to put it that I like hah. Thanks for sharing Mira!
It's so nice to not have tech permanently on my desk! I feel like it helped me cut back significantly on screen time and improved my mental health/productivity while working!
@@MiraByler I can imagine how nice it would be, I liked having a desk separate for art stuff but with the space I have, it's not practical rightnow, some day though!
I loved it! Its super cool that you didn’t make the tour ‘fake’ haha😂 Actually I always find my desk space pretty clean, since I don’t use paint, and stick to markers & colour pencils for my drawings! I think a lot of non-painter artists can relate :D

Your artroom is so tidy... you should see my place... my whole living room is my craft room. It started small, with a desk and silently I took over all the bookshelves and the cupboards and closets (don't know the difference between these last 2 lol being not native english)... and then came the living room table. (For 10 people) and then came the coffee tables. We had 1 so we put a second one so we have at least 1 for drinking coffee... And then... because I lay down most of the time, there are to boxes and a rolling table next to me and have of my couch is full of stuff... painting and jewelry making... pffff.... so yes you have a tidy workplace... if I could do the stairs better I could make a craftroom upstairs. I have enough rooms. They aren't in use anymore. Because my 4 kids left the home and we are only with 3. My hubby, my stepson and me. Pfffff....... lol... room enough... but not mobile so I claimed the whole livingarea. Oh and the cellar to... lol
a cupoard is more for like cups and spoons and plates, a bookshelve is for books and a closet is for clothes or storage boxes (as a native english speaker)
@@someonesomeone68 oh and objects where you put your paperwork and other stuff? No cloths, no cups, no books... all the other stuff you have growing in your living room. It's ab big wooden thing, deeper than a bookshelf but also with layers and you can stuff it full with... everything... do that has a name? Like in my language you have a "kast" and when it's for books you name it book"kast", for clothes, clothes"kast", for kitchen, kitchesn"kast", and then you have other forms that are also a kast, but have special names. Like a dressoir, an etagere, a bar, a voorraadkast (pantry I think)... so I want to know the general name of all those "kasten" (pluriel)... just want to learn...
