This angers me so much that he was hurt at all by a snare. The mouth will take longer to heal I guess because he is always using it. Overall, he seems to be doing well. Hopefully he fully accepted back in the pride.

Glad to see Ncile healing, he has come along way since the snaring. It will take a while longer for him to fully recover his health and position in the coalition and pride, but I think he get there eventually. Considering how he was it's remarkable how well he has done.

It took them five days. If he needs food the lodge should be held responsible. They let the poachers in. They have a moral responsibility to feed him,away from his stupid brother and this dumb ass pride. This lodge is known for abhorrent behavior. They killed Junior with Anthrax poisoning, and let Buddy die. They are not a good lodge and they are not a part of a NATIONAL PARK.
This is heartbreaking to see. Wish there was something I could do for this magnificent animal
So pleased ncila is recovering but still suffering from the wound , so hate the poachers and snare setters. Am sure a full recovery will give the king back his throne .

Lions Saliva contains cell-derived tissues factors and many compounds that are antibacterial or promote healing and helps with wounds. By him keep yarning and licking around the mouth he's actually exercising and healing the wound still will take time.

Nearly a miracle to see N'cila still alive, so much pain he had after all this time and the end of the full recovery is not yet there... lion's God if it exists must protect him for a few more weeks until the Day he can answer again to the challenges waiting for him... and they are numerous. It's tragic to see what this snare has done to this powerful lion....a dominant male reduced to fighting for his survival. These lions know who these poachers are....hopefully they meet their fate by lions.

So painful to just watch. And Ncile is in pain from the snare for some months now, and to make it worse - his closest family is bulling him.
The females have young cubs which is why they are reluctant to allow him closer. He's eating though and looks awesome! So that's great news. He should be a lot better after this year.

@@l.d.1385 I'm not sure if he mated with the females that have the newest cubs. The lionesses are smart and know what they are doing. In due time, he will be allowed closer to the cubs and he will fully rejoin the pride. For now the lionesses are being extra cautious. Lastly, the 2 sub-adult cubs do not belong to this coalition of male lions. The lionesses could even be wary of him around them 🤷♀🤷♀.
The lionesses have reasons. Ncili looks great so I'm not too concerned about the lionesses. He just needs to bide his time until he is closer to 100% and the cubs are older.
@@auntiez4917 Wait I'm totally confused by your statement. Wasn't he the most dominant male in the pride? I saw him battle his ex brothers to be the first to mate.
He is not a true brother to these Tinswallo males. He in reality is a brother to the three Tumbela males,of which only one is left standing.
So all three mate and all three all think they are the fathers.
The older cubs are Junior and Buddy cubs and for that I am grateful to them.

@@l.d.1385 Ncili got the snare in late last year. Any new cubs were conceived after that. Don't they have some 3 month old cubs or so?

The wilderness is so rough on an a cat in his position. His family is making his life so much more difficult for him. Instead of embracing him and carrying him through these rough times. They tend to not want him around because of his weaknesses. : his health. He has to persevere and stay close to them no matter what.
Poor baby God be with him he bern through some trying times it is good to see him they need help someone, or group watch over that territory. Someone who not corrupt it allotted of corruption going on at Kruger Nationall Park.mcdevil don't want to give up his position he keeping them against Ncile

What a beautiful and amazing King Ncila is. Been praying for his full recovery. Can’t seem to get Ncila off of my mind. People are so cruel. Breaks my heart that there are people out there with the worst intentions. Life’s like Ncila and other wild animals fall victim of pure evilness and for what. Let these precious animals live. I`m still angered over this staring not just for Nchilo for he is my favorite one of the Tintswalo Boys but it seems to me that your LAWS in Africa have NO real meaning in protecting what Wild life is still left in Africa... EXAMPLE ONE in 1950 when they first started recording how many LIONS were living in the Wild in Africa there was 500.000 hundred thousand and now look at today just maybe 20.000 thousand LEFT in the WILD... EXAMPLE TWO MANS laws are really meaningless for in America people get away with murder every DAY sure they put them in prison but there still living and the Tax`s payers are paying for they`re murders... EXAMPLE THREE I and many like me were train during Vietnam to commit murder this IS something I have to live with to DAY and to hear people say that they can murder anyone and get away with IT this angers me until the LAWS and MAN..S behavior changes it will get WORSE... RA 68 HELL FIRE
They need some way to keep up with them, they need camera traps every where!! It just makes no sense why someone would do this inhumane act!! It's sad to think this boy come in as a dominant male and now fighting for his life!! I hope they find and make examples out of the poachers!! It's all about money anymore. It's a sad day when money is more important then anything else, even someone's life. Their has to be a solution to this!! Every animal is important on a greater scale of are ecosystem. If we fail our wildlife, we will follow. Like a domino effect.

It’s taking months for that wound to heal
It's taking a year for him to recover fully. However, Ncili looks AMAZING. You can barely tell he had a snare. He's almost there. Give him until the end of the year and he'll be close to 100%.

On his wound from my experiences with injuries and one similar as it’s healing and his yawns he tries to get that full sensation of a typical lion yawn is good as long as he doesn’t obviously in the beginning rip his stitches but now as it’s still healing he needs to achieve that full stretch to not have healing with any restrictions, You would love him to have some quality water always close as that dry mouth that accompanies this stage is a constant , I know lions can get by on the hydration they get from the game they consume and virtually no water but if present it’s a plus for a refreshing drink , I know that feeling living in the hot months in California and being out most of the time and actually love it in some respects , You acclimate , I am following him as I am so interested and GREAT 👍 CAMERA WORK GUYS !!!! No better way now to gauge his progress , What’s up with Red Roads recent leg injury of the late fall of 2022 ? He is resilient and when you think it’s over ( hard being a single pride leader ) he surprises you ! Hope to hear on these two as I know you guys try and keep us updated ! Thanks ! Kevin

He looks great overall compared to when he was first found with that awful snare. He's recovering quite nicely actually. He'll be back by end of year.

Thanks for the update. Ncila is a tough enough.💪🏽 If he had a buffalo for each yawn, he won't need mean partners who would be wise to feed him, lick his wounds & rely on him to babysit. instead of TLC they quickly turn on him? No.
It is really shameful and devoid of mercy. they always say they interfere in these cases with treatment and what we have seen is they bribed some sterilizers on such a scary wound and left it without follow-up and I am sure if they gave him a little (simple follow-up) he would heal completely
if his wound was treated Now one more time we would see a noticeable improvement and heal completely
What pisses me off is they are able to help him as it is not expensive or difficult to get up and help him again simply to stop his suffering

Some females of the nharu pride were horrible to red road when he was injured he stuck it out and all is well now so hopefully when he fully recovers he will be welcomed back by everyone
*I noticed a few different things with Ncila. he has lost a significant portion of his mane (to be expected)-his jaw is swollen where the snare wound is-his eye has a new scar, and the back legs are torn up with maggots in the wounds.*
*I assume he was in a fight, reopened his snare wound. Most likely out of necessity.*
Poor guy, hopefully he just keeps improving and keeps eating.
This nasty wound will eventually fully heal and his pain tolerance will have shot through the roof. Ncila is gonna dominate future fights because of this experience. As long as he has that aggressiveness and never back down attitude, he'll be a top male. As for the ones that gave him grief while injured, you can bet he'll be going on a warpath for all the ones that wronged him.

Ncile yawns very slowly and very carefully as if he's trying to limber up a feeling of tightness in his jaws. He's doing a good job of taking care of himself. Many people are concerned about him. There's a lot of righteous anger in the comments about Ncile's plight. Message to little Kupona: Auntie Othawa has arrived in the Peaceable Kingdom to take care of you.
This poor boy has lived through hell because of some of us humans. Now that is a lion strength! May he live to be fifty and spend every day only eating and cat napping with lions who luv and adore him, and never come to any harm ever again.

What do you know? Are you a vet? No he is suffering. Feed him.
You took five days to find him. Feed him. It's your responsibility, as you allowed a poacher in. Call the vet.NOW.
When lions are extinct, men will regret filming their suffering instead of helping. It is no longer possible to "not interfere". If you don't interfere today, tomorrow may be too late!

Whilst we appreciate you filming the content and airing it globally for views and likes, but what we don't appreciate is the fact that you are not able to report the Vets or do something to help the poor lions with snare wounds! That is just terrible! Males and females usually have dependants and we must all save their lives!!! We need to protect lion population at all cost. Without lions, Africa does not exist!

I'm not familiar with Ncila's story. Was he a member of the coalition presiding over this pride or a matured cub the pride is trying to drive off?
He was the leader of the coalition, he may take lead again after he heals.

Is he still alive 2 years later? His mouth was a mess and he looks thin for a male lion in his prime.

His brother Mandevu isn't a good brother. Since Ncila has been hurt. I haven't seen 1 video where his with Ncila bonding with him or even laying close to him.
