Best value on the market! They punch far above their weight!

I still like the look with bass drum Tom mounts on there vs the upper models above the Pearl Decade or even the Reference but this one doesn’t come with the snare drum and it has to be purchased separately. But, I think that it’s time to replace my old set for the new Decade 5pc black satin burst setup. I already started with 930 series cymbal stands, throne, snare stand and the i eliminator redline p2052c double bass pedal and the eliminator redline h2050 two leg hihat stand. So all I need is the set to complete the entire set.

I think the floor tom sounds choked. Is it the head choice or your tuning? Maybe it's the maple. I just think it sounds bad.

Man like T: Yamaha Stage Custom is Birch, whereas Pearl decade Maple is, duh, maple. Two different woods, two different sounds. I happen to love the Yamaha Stage Custom Birch. Maple isn't my favorite wood for drums. You should go to a drum shop and try playing the different kits. Kwesi has an opinion on this Maple kit but you should try Birch kits too.
