It's a consistent thing with the Mad Max films going back to the original film that you don't actually see the end of many characters, but you know they're gone.
I don't understand people that thought this was slow... Just because Fury Road was balls to the wall? Nothing can compare to that. And no, Jack is dead... beyond dead.

I just love how random George Miller's casting choices are. The actress who played Furiosa's mother, Charlee Fraser is more of a professional model instead of an experienced actress before this so to see her playing a risky role in a huge movie like this and pulled it off is absolutely remarkable. Her casting choice was the same approach that Miller did for Immortan Joe's wives in Mad Max Fury Road. Take a model and put them in a more challenging position and they pulled it off brilliantly. So happy that Miller didn't use the models he chose as just pretty face *(cough) Michael Bay (cough)* , he actually gave them cool and interesting characters to work with
One of those models that Bay used is the same in Fury Road - Rosie Huntington Whitely.
Casting is determined by the story. No need to diss Bay. His choices work for his movies and Miller’s work for him.

Charlee Fraser, the actress who plays Furiosa’s mom at the start, is who I want to play Wonder Woman in the DCU.

Interestingly, Megan Gale, who plays Valkyrie in Fury Road (the woman on top of the lookout tower as "bait") was who George Miller cast to play Wonder Woman when he was going to make a Justice League movie in 2008.

1:11:56 because there’s no need. He was shot in the chest, dragged for HOURS by motorcycles, while being mauled by dogs. Sorry but for anyone who isn’t absolutely brain dead we know he’s dead. We know it took probably a whole hour or more for him to die. But he’s dead. The sun was way way lower in the sky, we’ve seen the dogs will and do eat humans all the time. Realistically, I doubt there would be much left of him.

Plus dementus says at 1:21:47, “you’ll still be sorrowing your lovey dovey and your mommy magnificent.”. I assume by “lovey dovey” he means Jack and that Jack is dead.
it really breaks my heart that this movie bombed, it was such an amazing flick that deserved way better, shame that the mad max movies never made the big dollars and we were robbed of a franchise, but at least the people that saw them know how amazing they are

Knowing that the first Dune and Mad Max Fury Road each won 6 Oscars (mostly in the technical categories) in their own award year, it'd be interesting to see how the award season goes next year for both follow ups, Dune Part 2 and Furiosa head to head in achieving the same award success.

This is the best performance of Chris Hemsworth’s career. I always knew he was a great actor outside of Thor, but he absolutely stole the show every single time he showed up on screen!
And Chris told the best description of this franchise ever on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he said “Americans have Star Wars, the UK has Harry Potter, and Australians have Mad Max”. He also said he based Dementus’ voice on old carnival barkers and Al’s his grandpa.
The actor who plays Pratorian Jack has said that him and George Miller discussed how Jack and Furiosa's relationship at the very end became something more. Right after they save each other and then are caught by Dementus, you hear Furiosa say "My Jack" and he calls her "Fury". That's what makes it so tragic, just when they realize what they mean to each other, they are torn apart and we know what happens after that.

Whatever opinion we have on this movie, no one can outrun George Miller than George Miller himself, that's straight up facts!
Your right: He out ran himself by forgetting the Madmax time line.. No one questioned the acting in this movie, they questioned the tech and how Australia has gasoline again when in the middle of old Madmax it was almost dried up. This is why we get the movie "The Road Warrior" due to Fuel being gone with only 1-3 pumps left with empty wells and 0 oil shipments due to the fuel wars. We eventually get the nuke attacks By the end of The Road Warrior. Then, we approach the timeline of Thunderdome. In Thunderdome, many areas of Australia's surface is radioactive and it's been over 30yrs sense any oil shipments for refinery's. Mankind around Thunderdome started making a new fuel source, and started forming small manageable clans\city's. Miller forgets Max would be in his 70's by Furiousa, because he claims Furyroad was 35yrs after thunderdome. In furyroad Max would be 81-90, this could not be true either because most fans know he is dead by this time. The story's are told by the Children, when they're adults.
Another forgetful moment Miller had was Max's Interceptor was destroyed in the Road warrior. Max was driving a Truck being pulled by Camels due to no more fuel type to operate the vehicle was left. It wasn't till Master Blaster converted his truck to run on Methane, methane was the new power-source humans were using by the end of Thunderdome not gasoline. "Ask yourself this question"= How long would it take for milk to go bad if your filling a tanker up with it till it's full in the 100+ temp weather of Australia?
Guys, Miller’s not here to write canonical history to his movies. He’s writing fables and a dystopian world.

It would be like me writing a story about our moon, and then sticking on a Starwars insignia. As for Furiousa, I'm not a lone in not caring about it and not seeing it as a Madmax movie. That movie flopped.. Furiousa movie was like i said, making a story about something that isn't madmax or me making the story about the moon and just calling it Starwars.

It loses them because they fuck with the hero's lore. How many times has Hollyperv done this with all our hero's. This was their mistake.. Now not to sound old fashion, i ask you this question. Would this movie make a ton if Mel Gibson was in it as max? = my answer is yes, you would capture the old fans and still have the new generation take a look at it. You would also have the correct age in real life as in lore for how old Madmax would be. "just a thought :)"
Dementus entrance in the Citadel is chef's kiss. You can tell Chris Hemsworth is having fun playing that character.
This film was easily the best theater experience I've had all year. Absolutely loved it.

Same. It's a close to the first time I saw Gladiator as a young teen and didn't know what to expect at all. But considering how much this blew me away as an adult, I'd say this wins out.

Cinematography and the long shots are top notch
God Chris Hemsworth was so fun in this 'D'ya have it in ya to make it epic?' Is such a great line. And Anya Taylor Joy is also really cool, like man she doesn't speak much, but when she does I can almost hear Charlize Theron.

What I love about Chris Hemsworth is as an actor, what he brings as a hero is also what he brings as a villain. A lovable character with flaws.

Such a weird thing to question why Furiosa wasn't continuing to cut her hair short, as if hair length were something that separated females from males in this world. Dementus, Immortan Joe and so many other of the male characters have long hair. It's very clearly not something that's going to hide someone's gender in this world.
Immortan Joe was looking for women to bear him children, but for some reason he ignores the adult Furiosa, This point is not revealed in the film.
His army is all men, and she's being ignored.

In the comic Immortan Joe does make her a wife and she fails 3 times so he gets rid of her.
Mad Max Fury Road was a "capture lightning in a bottle" situation. It's a movie that revived the franchise after went on hiatus for 30 years so nobody was really anticipating the level of masterpiece that Fury Road achieved. So i can feel the pressure from Miller and his team in making this movie as they were living under a huge shadow for like 9 years in making this movie. And i kinda think Miller himself knew that this movie is never going to be as good as the first but he still wanted to give his best shot. And for the most part, despite some flaws, i still enjoyed the movie from start to finish, i appreciate the effort that the brought to this movie and if i have a free time, i'd absolutely see the movie again someday

@@Bjork4sIn the cinema, the CGI was really rough. Recently, I watched it on digital and the CGI was barely noticeable.
@@emosam07 The younger Furiosa had much more personality than Anya's Furiosa. Anya's felt like too much of a "try-hard bad-ass", just unblinking stares directly into the camera WAY too often. Without the spirit of the younger one, or the "weary warrior" vibe of Theron, there was really nothing to latch onto with Anya's take. Not to mention ZERO chemistry with Jack.
Also, the time jumps/chapters were real momentum killers.
Lastly, the film just didn't look or sound as good as FURY ROAD.
"OH MY GOD, JESUS" was hilarious as shit Roxy, don't be sorry!!!

FURY ROAD IS ONE OF THE BEST MAD MAX MOVIES!
Damn, despite being a little more reliant on CGI, the action and scope of this movie are even bigger and badder than Fury Road. The tracking shots/oners were INCREDIBLE, especially during the War Rig chase scene. It sucks that this movie bombed so hard at the box office, the whole Mad Max post-apocalyptic world lends itself to being a larger universe with interesting lore (kinda like Fallout with crazy cars and vehicles).

But I haven't rewatched 3 and 1 in a long time so I can't tell for sure. I kind of like Furiosa but at the same time it feels like the least necessary of the franchise, because it's a prequel that honestly didn't tell me anything I didn't already know or could guess on my own.

Scrotus and Dementus were actually introduced in the Mad Max video game released as a tie-in to "Fury Road" set between "Furiosa" and "Fury Road" chronologically even though "Fury Road" came out around the same time(There was also a prequel comic book tie-in from Dark Horse showing how Immortan Joe rose to power in The Wastelands ),Scrotus was Immortan Joe`s other son who inherited his father`s cruelty and sadism but none of his strategic military genius and tact. Max killed him at the end of the Game. It`s also mentioned that Dementus was a former soldier like Immortan Joe before the fall of civilization as well as a medical doctor, explaining his skill with chemicals and bombmaking in the Film

Chris Hemsworth was pretty good as F1 driver James Hunt in Rush. Actually that movie is a really good sports film. Daniel Bruhl as F1 driver Niki Lauda was really good too.

Immortan Joe *did* recognize Furiosa after when Dementus demanded the meeting. He even gave her the title of Praetorian once she started working alongside Jack. She literally says to the warboys pulling up the platform "I'm Prateorian Furiosa" and they take her directly to Immortan Joe. It's all very clear and shown right there in the story, on screen and stated in the text. There's no mystery. There's no big reveal in Fury Road.
Scrotus is a son of Immortan Joe, was the main villain of the Mad Max game.

At 47:00 he didn't give her the knife, he was holding her in the truck and the knife was sheathed on his arm. She took it out of the sheathe since he was keeping her inside.
