    I'm a beginner so this just blows my mind! Lol it is beautiful and you do a wonderful job explaining though. Just not ready for this yet but going to save for when I'm alittle more experienced.

    This is the first time I'm seeing interlocking crochet. It looks so complicated in terms of 'keeping' a pattern in my crochet. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I'll try to find a large chunk of time to accommodate all the problems I'll run onto. It's a challenge I'd like to take. 😅

    Tour video and chart made it clear! This is my second attempt at interlocking crochet. Whew, I finished a square at round 7, used bulkier yarn. How can you find up with these designs, so intricate.

      I believe in you! Take your time...once you get through the first few rounds it definitely gets easier. If you're new to interlocking you can also try some interlocking patterns not in the round first (though I actually think in the round is easier once you start because you can read the charts easier)

      @@KickinCrochet I'll try to answer you in English
      Forgive the delay in replying to you. I also looked for the basic technique. I understood a little but it doesn't work for me. So I prefer not to go crazy and continue creating using the mosaic crochet technique.
      I'm very sorry not to be able to, I've been crocheting since I was seven....I'm sixty-five 😂
      Maybe I'll try again in a little while.
      I congratulate you again for your wonderful works

    thank you for vídeo is it overlay or inset? could you tell me if i should make many squares or one big like a blanket for exemple.. sorry my english is not perfect

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Each square is about 12 inches (1 foot) wide, so it depends on what you want to do with it. If you want a blanket, you'll want to make multiple squares and then sew them together. I've seen people make pillows, bags, and even shirts from these squares!

  • @mariamills1203
    @mariamills1203 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Loving this tutorial, is it possible to carry on & make this square bigger for a blanket ?

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely you could do that! It might take a bit of figuring yo see how you want to repeat motifs though, since I haven't drawn it out larger than this

    hi, thank you so much for this. is it possible for me to make the squares a bit smaller than in the video?
    i want to make a cardigan with the squares. xx💗

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you use a smaller hook, they will come out smaller, you could also use a thinner yarn or just not do the last few rows...

  • @sonuburman754
    @sonuburman754 ปีที่แล้ว

    What an amazing tutorial. I made this square along with you. But I couldn't understand what determines whether the yarn should remain in the front or back while we change colours. Could you help me.

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Whether the yarn needs to be in front or back is based on whether that same-color stitch in the next row would be a front or back stitch. I hope that makes sense!

  • @hookedbymamace

    Hi there I'm so in love with this pattern
    Thank you 💜

    Could you possibly make a video on continuing this square in a throw or afghan please

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I'm so glad you like the square! I will have to put some thought into that. I wouldn't be able to film an entire afghan (these videos take forever to film!), but I could maybe put out a chart and give some instructions? I'll think on it!

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! All of the squares in this set are the same size (all of them named for the month in which they were released, plus the synergy square). So they can be used together. It is not mosaic, though the techniques have some similarities.

    Such a pretty design! I am almost done with mine. Do you recommend blocking these squares? I don't know whether one is supposed to block interlocking crochet! (Given that I wont be using them for a blanket, but probably as potholders or something)

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interlocking crochet can block well, depending on what yarn you used. I blocked the wool square pictured on the cover of this video. :)

    • @kritika5117
      @kritika5117 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KickinCrochet I have used cotton. I'll try blocking it then. Thank you :) (especially for taking the time to make these whole videos!)

    Hi! I was planning to make a top or dress with these beautiful squares but for the shaping I would need some triangles for the neck line, is there a way I can just crochet this diagonally, like just half of it for the triangle. Btw thank you so much for the tutorial!

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely yes that's possible to do. However, I haven't actually done it yet! I will put it on my to do list

    • @KickinCrochet
      @KickinCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually think it would be easiest to start at the corner and work toward the hypotenuse of the triangle, but if you wanted to start in the center like for these squares, it's also doable

    Crochet should be relaxing. Life's too short to be stopping and starting placing stitch markers and figuring out whether to go from the back or front and around which stitches. Crocheting for 50 years. I'm out!!
