As a Scotman, I really appreciate someone doing this! There are many castles and cathedrals left dormant or dilapidated from Robert the Bruce, the Jacobite rebellion and the subsequent two world wars. It was always in my mind if I had the capital to do this I would, Kudos for actually pulling the trigger. I'll be keeping a keen eye on your videos for sure!
As an Englishman I wholeheartedly agree, your country is beautiful, and seeing someone save this incredible history warms my heart. Sadly today too much of our history is being lost. ❤🏴🇬🇧👍

Excited to see all that you have in store for this great castle! I have Scottish Heritage in my blood and would love to visit Scotland sometime soon. I live in the United States and will be watching your channel for the next update.
Our family lived in Knightswood just prior to the war and the daughter of the family that lived upstairs from us, worked in Templeton's rug factory at Anniesland Cross. After we all survived the bombing, the factory still stood and resumed full production in due time. Twenty years later, I emigrated to the USA, but my parents still lived in Glasgow until their deaths many years later. I was home to bury them each time one passed. Glasgow has transformed itself over the years from an imdustrial center to a place of culture and beauty. Perhaps someday I'll get back again, but at 87 that probability diminishes each year. I love to see the restoration and transformation of buildings of significance and pray that this restoration is complete in due time. God bless your efforts. Don C.
My Great-Aunt worked as a carpet fitter for Templetons before & for a while after WW2: her hands gnarled with arthritis from wielding carpet-cutting scissors. I hope you decide to “just do it” - Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum is a must. And if not, there are many Scots TH-camrs posting interesting videos about the country. 😊
I love Scottland. My dad was British, and my mum is Australian, but every time I visit Scotland, I feel a pull to the country, a sense of peace, and a feeling of home. The last time I was there in 2023, I saw so many castles that needed restoration. Unfortunately, it's not something that I will ever be able to afford to do, but I'm so happy to see that you are so lucky to be able to save some of its history.

I'm a recent subscriber from the Southwest US and am very excited to follow your epic journey of restoration. One of your shorts showed some work uncovering historical wallpapers. You are undoubtedly aware of lead having been used in paints, plumbing, roofing, etc. in areas of the castle, but i would also caution you regarding arcenic having been used in pigments, fabrics, wall coverings and other uses during the period. Specifically, greens in wallpapers utilized arcenic to help reduce fading. Gloves and a mask should be a precaution just in case before testing and research are able to confirm the presence of unseen threats. That being said, congratulations, good luck and all respect in you future efforts.

We can’t wait to bring you along as we restore these gardens. We have amazing plans for them!
Thank you for sharing
So happy you are making her beautiful again 😍😘
