It was so fun and sadly is cancelled for this Memorial Day, we're hoping it can come back for Labor Day. I did in fact have my best show ever there last Labor Day weekend!
Me too, so sad!! It could've been done safely outside with rules, but I think they thought it was too big to manage. Last year's was really the best show I ever did, so it was hard to miss in that regard--as well as all the wonderful and interesting people who come. It'll be back and so will we!
Hey George, question about Ivory. What does someone do with a pair of elephant Ivory Earrings which they’ve had since the early 80’s when Ivory was legal to sell?
Ok this will be controversial but here goes. I love elephants and even worked at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle for awhile helping raise funds to build proper habitat for them. When Microsoft's Paul Allen funded the drive for Ivory ban in WA, the bill war do poorly written that thru could technically fine grocery stores for selling Ivory soap just because it says the word "ivory". Sadly, that bill has been copied by many more states, and it makes it illegal in most cases to even transport it to a state where it's still legal to sell. Lots of people are listing it as "faux" Ivory or bone and selling it online still, but that is likely still illegal. So it all depends on how your state wrote the law whether you can sell it or not.
The Antique Nomad ok thanks. I got them as a gift while I was in Bermuda (where I’m front: in early 80s and honestly have never worn them and I do not want them but I don’t just want to throw them away. Somehow, I got them from Bermuda to USA in the 90’s with all my other jewelry. I live in Florida but I do not want to take the risk of getting in trouble for selling them and who the heck would want ivory? UGH! Thanks again for your quick response.
Which ones? I apologize, there were a few different things in this video that qualify as such. If you can tell me the time they appear in the video, I'll try to answer that for you
If I can’t get prices on these things then I don’t enjoy watching it. I feel like I have to stop and do research. I think they’re interesting objects but I want to know what they’re worth... and why they’re worth it if possible......please please please put a price to your items. Having said that you are the most interesting TH-camr, you have a lovely voice, a vast store of knowledge and are so articulate....Except for having to stop and try and look everything up I really enjoy your videos
Hi there! I'm appreciative of both your praise and critique. My earlier videos had little pricing info but I'm trying to include more or do videos more focused on that part. I walk a fine line, I want people to discover what makes these old things cool and desirable, and sometimes the focus on price and the deal takes away from that. So honestly I'll likely do more videos based on buying for resale, but also more that are focused on other aspects of the collecting world
I believe the Queen Victoria piece is a dinner gong. Probably for a BIG house!! Wow that’s really cool!
I love the 1920s bank dog in gold from the 1920s, which is no wonder since my dad was born in 1924.
I bought a cast iron waffle iron just like it and threw away my electric one! It makes the best waffles!
That's great to know! I imagine they're easy to keep clean if seaoned correctly. Keto diets are also pushing cast iron now
I am a new viewer and am binge watching your videos!👍
Thank you! Please subscribe and tell your friends, I'll keep trying to bring you fun finds from all over
Seesee Bee, one year after you were binge-watching this channel, I am now doing the same!!
Great video George!
Wow you have some beautiful items if the other booths were as nice 👍 Hope you scored big time

Did your sell your cool red trunk? How were your vintage clothing sales ?
I did! Also sold most of the vintage clothing I brought, wholesaled a lot to dealers so as not to spend money on dry cleaning
I guess that would’ve mattered if you were at the flea market ???
I love the mantle pieces..approximately what do they sell for?
Thanks for sharing with us George♡
