I love your philosophy, Coach. Giving players a chance to prove themselves on special teams is one of my top priorities. I'm glad it's shared. Good luck moving forward.
Special teams at the high school level is always under worked and it's a literal game changer if executed properly. In regards to punt returning, if you have a really quick punt returner and low chance of blocking a punt, What are your thoughts about having the players focused on certain key blocks to the backfield or quicker punt team personal. Essentially getting into a dog fight and stay on them for the entirety of the play instead of peeling back to get closer to the point of the punt returner.
Hey Coach, I’ve watched your videos for a while and recently subscribed. I love your kickoff coverage concept and how you treat just like defense. I’ve seen similar ideas from other coaches and it makes the most sense to me. Do your kickoff coverage “missiles” have specific landmarks or just responsibilities to keep the ball “inside and in front”? Also, do you have any game film of any of your special teams stuff besides the punt team one on your channel? Thanks!
I am no longer a HC so i do not have film of my older stuff. We try to say inside and in front but the first guys down should really be trying to make plays. If they are good they will force the ball to do something drastically different and the rest of the coverage can react to that

Do you do any live clinics in the Seattle area?

Thanks. I appreciate it.
Good teaching
We have 2 great kickers but snapping is a issue. What do you think about sending players to Rubio camp?
Specialist camps are always good for players
Trying to get practice time is always a problem for me
Always an issue, we do some work during water breaks.
