What ETFs are you excited about? The program I use to show charting and research on my ETFs is Seeking Alpha. Grab a discount and get a premium membership (this is what I have in the videos): averagetoamazing.com/go/seekingalpha
I definitely base it off age. High growth when young, higher yield when old. I think you are right with 3 ETFs if you also have individual stocks, and maybe 5-6 if all you have are ETFs.
Another great video and as you say so many ETFs to choose from, I’m investing in SOXQ, VOO, SCHD im am worried about adding more and spreading my money to thinly. Do you think that’s a problem?
I have a big part of MSCI world quality, with a bit of AEX EUR and SLI CHF, what do you think of that kind of portfolio? I'm scared of US tech specific etf being deeply in drawdown if NVIDIA is crashing after such a high 🥺
If vti tracks the entire us market, and 99.6% of voo stock (basically the s&p 500) is in vti, what does that say about the us market as a whole? Scary stuff.
Fund overlap is a little overrated. Qs and VTI biggest overlap, is MSFt at 6.7% Apple at 6.2%Meta2.2% ,google2.2% After that does it matter? I love all these stocks ^ if i owned VTI and a few individual stock of MSFT, along with Apple stock. It would take Thousands invested in the Qs to equal that fund over lap. Just be ok with your overlap it won’t kill gains it’s actually enhanced mine !!
The only etf currently in my portfolio is #BITO. And I do not know my cost on this. In fact, sadly I wasn't even aware of the fees. I thought the fees was a shwab thing. ( which since td ameritrade kicked us all to shwab. I am totally unhappy. To the point I'm thinking of closing the account. )
FCEF just a terrible ETF. no one would buy into it for 7% dividend and have to pay 3% expense ratio, there are many etf out there pays over 8+% with expense somewhere between 0.35-0.7% expense ratio. and i think you using growth etf compare with an income etf its bad example since those 2 types of etf is not for the same goal.
Not the same goal but both are active - that’s why I used them. But definitely feel free to stack up the others too, that’s the beautiful of those free tools like portfolio visualizer and ETFRC

So what should we do if we overlap VTI and VOO or other funds?
I’m staying focus with VOO and SCHD
Can't lose
VTI, SCHD and VXUS here.
Snooze fest
I definitely base it off age. High growth when young, higher yield when old. I think you are right with 3 ETFs if you also have individual stocks, and maybe 5-6 if all you have are ETFs.
I currently have 5 ETFs SPLG, SCHD, SOXQ, QQQM, and XLV (I like healthcare sector too).
Well, I am Canadian and I do have an ETF that I go with, which pays out monthly dividends it's hdiv. The other one is voo. 13:33
I have dgro, Schd, schg, and Schb in my main portfolio. And those are my favorite ETFs
Thanks Big Bob

Voo and QQQM
How about IVV?
I invest in only 2
SCHD
SCHG
And about 20 individual stocks
you only need 3 max and maybe even two *SPYG+SHM* then (SCHD) for dividend purposes.
SPYG has some 💪
VOO all the way and may be little percentage of SH for hedge and BIL for treasury
I like XLK
Good video. I had some doubts about ETFs. I do both but food stocks are my favorite for long term gains.
Good video.
Thanks!
Considering XLK as alternative to VGT and cheaper on expense
I picked a 3 core for me. Spy, qqqm, and good ole schd.
Nice video. Are you not concerned about SCHD's realtive underperformance against SPY the last few years. What might change that?
What’s your take on JEPQ?
I have a big part of MSCI world quality, with a bit of AEX EUR and SLI CHF, what do you think of that kind of portfolio?
I'm scared of US tech specific etf being deeply in drawdown if NVIDIA is crashing after such a high 🥺
This is on my plate VOO VYM VUG and to spice it up, a very light sprinkle of GME AMC RIVN.
TDVI etf is beating the SPY with a distribution yield of 7-8%. Could you review this one?
My three main ones are VOO, QQQM, and VXUS (I prefer international stocks hence VXUS maybe it has to do with living in different countries).
Vxus over 5 years is +14% 🗑️
VOO vs VTI? What’s your thought?
MR. Bob Sharpe thank you so much for taking the time to explained and open my eyes on how much money I'm throwing away you are the Man
In glad this was helpful, thanks for commenting!
Hey Bob, I have SCHG and SPLG, is it overkill to add XLG?
No one understands what you typed

Why would someone buy into that youtuber dude's fund? WHY? Expense ratios are huge, so are 12b-1 fees. No load and low fees people!
VOO
Smh, voo, schd
Voo :)
Xeqt
These boggle heads take fund overlap to another level
