So solemn the tale of the dwarves is. I have listened to this so many times since it came out on Patreon, and it makes me cry with the harmonies and the sadness. A true masterpiece. This has become my favorite song from the dwarven songs. Great reaction as always!!
He's a fantastic storyteller. He has a bunch of narrations (audiobooks) on his channel. They are all amazing. Edgar Allen Poe being the most. Along with many other short stories and poems.
@@jackyfriedman1963 I listen to Sleepy Hollow to fall asleep sometimes! In case there's confusion, I'm VERY deep in the Geoff/VP Fandom, not so much the Tolkien one.
@Shadow_Person11 Same here. Geoff and VP all the way. I found Clamavi De Profundus, (which he said their version gave him the inspiration for this one) when he did "I See Fire". I researched dwarf songs and found them. They are extremely good with their dwarves/middle earth songs and voices.
He really did an amazing job on this. Love the readings he does as well, he does have a wonderful voice for it. I really have to check out Clamavi De Profundus as well then
@@ThalesMusicCorner I had my alarm set to watch the premiere but apparently I slept through it. I didn't wake up until 1:30pm. And that's cause my daughter called me from work to make sure I took my noon meds. Otherwise I would have slept later 😂. Noon and midnight 😫
Misty Mountains has always been my favorite, so calming and relaxing. Then I See Fire came out and the choice to give each dwarves their own voice blew me away. But this has the best of both. Those harmonies!!!
Endless goosebumps from the 1st listen and afterward. Love Geoff's vocals & the hard work he and his wife did on costuming & set. Enjoyed your reaction, Thale.😊 Hope you're doing well these days.
I had never heard any previous versions of this, save the completely different sound from reading Tolkien's poems. This is nothing like I would have created - and i love it. It was a pleasure to be able to hear it!

Thank you. I really enjoyed it as well, and it's a very different version that still feels like how the dwarves would sing about Durin
It's a beautiful song, and add Geoff to it - amazing!!!
I'm not super deep in this Fandom, and yet I feel like I still understand the story here. His storytelling is superb!

Your reactions make listening to the songs even more enjoyable. This one was wonderful.
I'm really glad
Geoff honors the story with love and artistry.
By the way Thale, you're the first reaction of this one I've watched today 😉.
I felt I had to get back into catching the premieres as they drop
