MCC songs are as poignant, melancholy, grounded and serene as, say, Gordon Lightfoot's are bold, earnest, righteous, idealistic and earthy. I will always treasure both of these artists, but songs like this one, here, will really sustain me into my twilight years. Oh, this is lovely.

I honestly have found my all time favorite song...I always loved Mary Chapin Carpenter. I often wondered did she know how wonderful she was/is. its the first song I truly felt a connection to. Wonderful singer/guitar player and songwriter.
