I think that this episode is one of my favourites. You bring joy to everything and you were both extremely adorable practicing your sign language in the pub 💛
Wes, you are absolutely right - Birds (in this instance probably Starlings) all flying together at sunset IS called a “murmuration” 🙂 Some people say that they fly together like this for safety in numbers, but my favourite reason is that they are exchanging information about the good places to find food. I like that idea, it’s like a BIG gossip session (about food) in the sky. 🙂🐿🌈❤️
Starling murmatations are absolutely fasacinating, Nature is amazing. Enjoyed watching the kites soar high in the sky, simple pleasures in life are the best (I’m 55yrs old and have never successfully flown a kite 😳🪁….I am now going to put it on my tick list)
Starling Murmuration, they collect in huge numbers , before roosting for the night. Its done to confuse any birds of prey. Ballet in the sky. Beautiful.
@@janroberts1815 Each bird turns just after the bird in front, like formation flying. Its a miracle of nature for sure. I can stand and watch them and never ger bored.
Hey Guys 👋 What a great vlog! ❤ Love that you’re learning sign language, flying the kite made me smile like a little kid and the starlings was just a real treat! Have a blessed week 🙏
You are right Wes, it is a murmuration of starlings. Fantastic to watch 👍 Love that you are doing sign language Love your Vlogs. Don't comment so often as it's more work for you to reply. Watch every episode 👍
aw that’s really thoughtful of you thank you but we do enjoy reading the comments, we try to reply to as many as we can! ♥️😍 glad you enjoy the videos!
You both are adorably funny and sweet! Thank you for the beautiful filming and music to the murmuration of the starlings. That was super as was the fun we all had flying the kites. What a wonderful video - glad I waited til the end of the day to watch all the beauty and fun times!! (optimum wind for kite flying is 11 miles per hr. - you'll have to do the convert)
Thanks Amy and Wes another wonderful vlog you guys make me smile for the things you get up to and Amy you it was like watching a Greek cooking show with the scarf rapped around your head mashing the potato thanks guys stay safe and happy and safe boating cheers Barry from Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
OMG a skyfull episode - it's been so long since I've flown a kite - I'd forgotten the joy!! I'm so impressed that you put a drone up too!!! Mr Maps made me laugh, the cinnamon yummys made me drool!! And the starling murmuration was just incredible!!! I'm convinced that one of the reasons they do it is for the joy of it!!! Great episode - thank you so much 💖🙏 x
Those rolls look so good. On another note, have you ever lost your balance and fallen into the water? I might be prone to doing that! Love your videos! And your pets! ❤❤❤
Hi Amy and Wes. Great fun video. Was amazing to see the Murmuration of Starlings. I’d love to see them. The kite flying was very funny 🤣 Take care. Nick
Best vlog your like a pair of naughty school children love it. I have been watching many narrowboat vlogs as me and my husband want to buy one in a few years and both you and Wes have given us so many things to think about with a lot of laughs along the way ❤
I love it when birds do that it’s so beautiful how all ebb and flow together. I always love y’all’s videos you are definitely one of my favorite channels that I watch.❤
So lovely to bump into you both and Rufus yesterday at bridge 126. Such a nice surprise! Lots of love, London campervan guys, Scott, Dawson and furbaby Kodi xx
Loved this vlog, from the banging cinnamon rolls to the kite flying 😊. Tring is better when it's open 🤔. And your sign language skills are definitely improving - I could follow along (although the subtitles and lip-reading might have helped 😆)
You’re right Wes…..! 👍🏻 the starlings all come together to roost, safe in numbers & yes it starts with a few, but they gather in a large number when it comes to bed time ❤️❤️❤️ nice place your at there X X X
That was really great fun! We will definately look out for a kite in the charity shops. Have you tried Jack Fruit? We bought a can of it in Tesco, it's sort of like pulled chicken xx
Awwww what a lovely episode!! Loved the kite flying and you both signing while playing cards! Those cinnamon rolls looked Devine! Thank you for including us 😍❤️😍
Ha! The juicy marbles. Our little hooligan of a Patterdale terrier Monty nicked a whole one out of the still hot but turned off oven where it was keeping warm on the plate!!! I got our plates out and one just had the chips and peas and no steak! Very naughty. Every time I cook now he just sits by the oven hopefully 😂
Awww so lovely. Loved the kite flying. And might try those vegan steaks if I see them. I like quorn stuff but don’t think that’s vegan just veggie. Great vlog. Every best wish.
One of the debutant errors with kiting is that the string is far too short, please use at least 20 meters or 60 ft of string when you let the kite up or start running with it… that allows the kite to go up without restraint
While I know your both British, often I am not aware of your accents, but when Wes looked out the window and exclaimed "Its blowing a almighty Gale out there today" ok yeah I remembered your both British.. hehe. Watching some episodes with a snack, can you guess what? lol
Only found your channel a few days ago so still watching your past content. Great channel and a lovely couple to meet on the canal. Any boaters on here had any success with starlink for faster internet ?
Welcome! thank you ☺️ We have heard mixed results of it, it’s expensive and the main issue is the clear line of sight thing, which you often can’t get on the canals with lots of tree cover etc.
I'm going to report you to the RSPCH for telling the public to use Hamsters as a winter fuel alternative....even though they are probably more green than coal.
I've never understood the point "why would you make it look like meat?" like meat comes in mince/sausage/patty forms by default... people confuse me :/
I was told that if you use some strong cotton to cut cinnamon rolls it doesn’t squish them like cutting with a knife does( wrap it round then pull it tight to cut a slice)
I think that this episode is one of my favourites. You bring joy to everything and you were both extremely adorable practicing your sign language in the pub 💛
yay we’re so happy you liked it ☺️♥️ we really enjoyed this one too! thanks for watching!

That was so exhilarating flying the kites. Such a fun video. Thanks.
Did you get a chance to visit the museum in Tring? It’s like an annex of the natural history museum in London and well worth a visit.
Just found your channel and really enjoying it!
Welcome! 🤗 thank you!

We need a “that boat” routine 😂
wake up at 4am to do yoga on the roof of course 💅🏻

Btw they are amazing braised with onions and mushrooms in gravy 😋
😂 that’s when you know a fake meat is good
Thanks for explaining you eating "meat". I often wondered that !
Was wondering why I knew Tring untill you showed the shoe shop. TH-cam algorithm decided I needed shoe repair and review vidoes for a while.
ah amazing! we had no idea, what a cool channel thank you ☺️

A starling murmaration I haven't seen one that big for 30 years
We tried the Juicy Marbles recently - on offer as well - thought it might go well in a Wellington style thing!
Thanks from Lee walker
Thanks so much Lee! 😊
stunning and thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!🥰
Loved the video. Is it coincidence that you were practising your signing in #BSLWeek? I can sign too 👋
We had no idea, good timing! thank you for letting us know ☺️🤟🏻
That card game must be really popular, they have it in just about every pub you go in
haha we take it with us basically everywhere! ☺️🃏

Cracking Vlog ❤
thank you! ☺️
Love the videos ❤
thank you, we’re glad! 🥰
A murmuration of starlings I think
Hi, check out A Walk On The Wildside. Based in Blackpool, knows all about the birds has some amazing film of them they are starlings
ooh amazing thank you ☺️ will check it out
Only found your channel a few days ago so still watching your past content. Great channel and a lovely couple to meet on the canal. Any boaters on here had any success with starlink for faster internet ?
Welcome! thank you ☺️
We have heard mixed results of it, it’s expensive and the main issue is the clear line of sight thing, which you often can’t get on the canals with lots of tree cover etc.
Are you sure you didn’t nip the shop for those rolls .hmmm.xx
The swifts have returned and as our apartment is on the 17 floor we at the same level they are catching insects
I did the exact same thing with pastries how ever after cooking mine looked awful
Love the juicy marbles! Shame it’s £9 nowadays 😂
So glad they are all closed dont know how you all feel but i dont think shops should open on a sunday
Nothing like getting a kite out to make the wind disappear.
Apparently a murmuration can have up to 750,000 birds.
❤ 🪁

Gggrrrrrrr youtube messing up your vlog with adverts
I"m sorry - I wouldn't touch that stuff - it's as bad as macdonalds full of nasty things.
I was told that if you use some strong cotton to cut cinnamon rolls it doesn’t squish them like cutting with a knife does( wrap it round then pull it tight to cut a slice)
ooh yes we did consider trying dental floss 😂
I don’t need asking twice(grabs his coat and wellies and windlass)
haha thanks for joining us! ☺️
