FUNKO FUSION | Physical Pop! Collectible DLC Explained! (Exclusive Characters/Variants)

- Funko Fusion is getting physical Funko Pop! collectible figures that tie into the game. These Pops! will include DLC codes that give the player exclusive characters or variants. The DLC included is random and the codes are one-time use. There is also a chance of getting duplicates when buying multiple Pops! However, there are only 5 potential DLC items, and players are encouraged to trade codes to gather all the DLC. Funko Fusion arrives on PC, PlayStation 5, & Xbox Series X|S on September 13th, 2024, plus PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Switch on November 15th, 2024!

I’m fine with them avoiding the Lego cheat code system, avoiding permanent codes and whatnot, but the randomizing and trading aspect is just a bit annoying, especially since I’m the only person in my social circle who even knows the game exists, and they should be equal distribution, none of this rarity stuff, but that might just be my completionist side

Costumes behind toy codes I have no trouble with. Can live without them. What does annoy me is big boy is hid behind a toy paywall. The one thing they promised is this is not a toys to life game but as soon as you lock a full character behind a toy paywall it's a toys to life game. Hope big boy will be added as dlc later.
Yeah I guess does make it Toys to Life in a very minor/indirect way. Guess we'll have an idea of what the odds of getting each figure are after launch!

I get that Funko likes money but this just seems scummy to me, if I buy a pop of a specific character, I want that specific characters dlc, not some random variant skin. And the fact they sat big boy behind a paywall is dumb too, he’s a huge part of funko’s history. Imma get the pops anyway and hope I get big boy and the ‘Eddy’ dilophosaurus, and there’s no stopping someone from sending you a used code, pretty much scamming you; so what do I do, cause I don’t know anyone else IRL who collects pops or even wants this game?

As funny as it is to be able to play as Big Boy, it kinda sucks that he's locked to this dlc. I get you gotta make your money somehow, but I still don't like this

I gotta be honest, I don't love the way these DLC codes work. I understand that there are only five DLC characters, but the thought that I could redeem a code and have it just be a double when there are others I don't have yet is tough.
Yeah. I think a good compromise would be to make it so the website where you redeem the codes prevents you from getting a duplicate. Basically make it so if you buy 5 Pops!, you're guaranteed all DLC. But, it is what it is! Thanks for stopping by, Jay!

That trading is kinda annoying but makes sense for the game, because I'm not getting any Pops and I can't get any DLC because of that, I wish it was like the Lego game cheat codes

Getting Duplicates isn't that bad I could Give the Duplicate code to a friend or family member
exactly specially since there is a possibility that they could also leak the codes on TH-cam too it's honestly sad and pathetic to how far Lego Fans are going to making this game look bad when Lego never had the balls to work on properties like Chucky FNAF M3gan Jaws (im aware there's a lego set but still they wouldn't touch it as a game due to the blood and gore in the movies) and many other horror related properties this is why im excited to play this game this Sept 13th

He'll yeah make as many waves as possible brand new pops never got before hell yeah! The regular and chase looks cool love to get a mixture of them probably just get all regular but wish at least one or two is chase that'd be cool lol

In uk if you preorder the game from game store we get the dlc of freddy version of m3gan and heman as well and the walking dead dlc included

I dont mind them wanting to do dlcs, but i am worried about how the full characters are rarer. Is it completely random what character comes from a code. Would a code that would give someone a he man give someone else a freddy?

Don't get me wrong I am very excited for this game..but I have a concern with the dlc codes..what's stopping scammers? I mean good people will share unused codes as they intend us to do, but what's stopping someone from sending you a used code? ..If they are one timed used then how can you avoid people trading used codes.
Well, in-person you'd be able to see whether the code has been redeemed or not. But yeah, online, you gotta find trustworthy people!

Mostly cosmetic. There are 2 exclusive characters: Big Boy and Mecha Freddy, that are not cosmetic. No DLC levels announced so far. Just characters/variant outfits

Why can’t it just be like the TT Games LEGO games, how can I expect chance to be on my side when getting these, especially for Mecha Freddy, plus the problem of how I would even be able to afford all of them and extra in case I’m still missing any, and the only way I can communicate with others is Steam discussions and TH-cam comments. I hate it when they companies make specific game content blocked of by stuff like this, in my eyes all content should be accessible to anyone, this just feels like LEGO Dimensions but worse since now chance is involved. But also thank you very much for covering this, while the fact that my fears were right won’t help my anxiety or stress, at least I have some sort of answer, since I couldn’t find anything beforehand.
It just feels like this puts a bad taste in my mouth with this game, if it were just normal cheat codes it would be fine, but it’s not and with fomo it just makes it 10x worse for me.
But again Quick Brick Games, thank you so much for covering this, some info that you found would have been impossible for me to find like the tweet about them being one time use codes, I don’t know if it’s just because I don’t have an X account but when I look at all on anyone profile posts they are all unorganized and some are even missing, that is if it even lets me view them instead of shoving in my face join X to view.

This dumb because people that don't buy Funko pop can't get the dlc. They should did what Lego did to make it fair to all players. They need to fix this or get review bomb day one on steam.

yeah bull they said that there would be dlc's in it and it's YOUR choice if you wanted to buy it or not as it wouldn't effect the game at all so it's your decision if you want to spend money on the figs or not and they have a discord account were you can trade the cards if you have a duplicate also there will be users posting codes onto youtube too so stop whining over this VERY little feature in the game
