Lyrics: With my musket in my hand I charge the enemy I feel myself a fallin' Down onto my knees I hear the boys a yellin' Rebels mighty cry I hit the ground beneath the dirt And pray that i don't die Oh lord can you hear me? Spare me one more life Darkness closing in I leave my precious wife I feel my blood runnin' Flowing like a stream It getting hard to breathe Oh lord don't let me leave As i turn to my left Staring back at me A yanky boy helpless Tries to talk to me He's holding out his hand And crying out in pain Asking for forgiveness Oh who is there to blame Oh lord can you hear me? Spare us one more life Darkness closing in You know it don't seem right We feel our blood runnin' Mingling in the dirt It's getting hard to breathe Oh lord how we hurt As i stare into his eyes I see myself there My uniform red with blood Mud caked matted hair The sounds of the battle Grow distant o'er the hill A strange calm falls upon us As the battlefield grows still Oh lord can you hear us Calling out to you Dying here together No longer grey or blue Take pity on our comrades An' our families far away Their war will go on But ours ends here today
Such a beautiful tribute. Such a spectacular point that regardless of the uniform, we are still human. We are still brothers and sisters, locked in conflict with one another. I long for the day where we put this horrible, horrible memory behind us. I long for the day where I can truly call people from the north my fellow man, and they return it in kind. May God guide us to this goal, and may he have mercy on us all.

Though their heart stops beating a soldier never truly dies for their memory carried on by their brothers will help guide the survivors to a better end and a hopeful future.
This is why both sides have to be honored and respected no matter if they wore Yankee blue or southern gray
As a historian, No one disagrees with honoring the sacrifice of rebel soldiers. We just dont want to lie about nature of the conflict

So just beautiful, I fell in love with the song by just hearing the first note.
GOD bless those who are trying to prevent another Civil War!!

Reminds me of the song, Christmas in the Trenches.
Lyrics:
With my musket in my hand
I charge the enemy
I feel myself a fallin'
Down onto my knees
I hear the boys a yellin'
Rebels mighty cry
I hit the ground beneath the dirt
And pray that i don't die
Oh lord can you hear me?
Spare me one more life
Darkness closing in
I leave my precious wife
I feel my blood runnin'
Flowing like a stream
It getting hard to breathe
Oh lord don't let me leave
As i turn to my left
Staring back at me
A yanky boy helpless
Tries to talk to me
He's holding out his hand
And crying out in pain
Asking for forgiveness
Oh who is there to blame
Oh lord can you hear me?
Spare us one more life
Darkness closing in
You know it don't seem right
We feel our blood runnin'
Mingling in the dirt
It's getting hard to breathe
Oh lord how we hurt
As i stare into his eyes
I see myself there
My uniform red with blood
Mud caked matted hair
The sounds of the battle
Grow distant o'er the hill
A strange calm falls upon us
As the battlefield grows still
Oh lord can you hear us
Calling out to you
Dying here together
No longer grey or blue
Take pity on our comrades
An' our families far away
Their war will go on
But ours ends here today
No reason to apologise for the offense; you drew it perfectly at 2:26

There is no good or bad in war. Just ideals and blood.
War is Hell, and I have every intention of making it so.
-General William Tecumseh Sherman
May it always be so, that we shall never find it cheap enough to live with.
IexoPeoa the US has been at war for 220 out of the 244 years of current existence

"It is well that war is so terrible; else, we should grow too fond of it."

This is a good video and tears won't stop
Wow, both this video as well as the previous part definitely hit me in the feels. Well done for visualizing what happened on those fields. Great Job.
Ah, finally two things I love (music about the civil war and anime) in one video. You did a great job!

I'm not sure why exactly, but your comment made me thin of the Trace Adkins song Adkins song " Til the Last Shits Fired".
@@WaynettePorter I'm not sure but that's cool that it did
