      I know right, it's like bon faked his death so he can upload on TH-cam. And got a few surgeries too, that's why he looks so young

    Been playing guitar daily for 7 months and was starting to get in a rut. Took your advise and decided to concentrate on rhythm guitar and trying to play the whole song, been having a blast. THANK YOU!

    Hi James. I want to thank you for all the free lessons and songs you put out. Highly appreciated. Anytime I want to play something, 9 times out of 10, you have put it out there. I started playing August 2019 right before the pandemic with a Yamaha steel string acoustic that put thick callouses and then bought a Squier classic vibe strat and an Epiphone Les Paul and now allI play is songs like you, once I got all the cowboy and Barre chords down. So I can say you helped me alot. Keep rocking. Peace.

    Doesn't get any better than AC/DC w Bon Scott for raw rock and roll, looks so easy but try and pull it off with your garage band (good luck) !!! ; )

    very good tone very powerful
    query has something to do the neck pickup
    that is upside down
    something changes the sound I imagine the neck would be sharper
    thank you very much

      I agree. I play that song and the main verse is a dead rip off. Still a good song though and The Cult rock.

    Awesome lesson! But just one question about your guitar. Why's the neck pickup inverted?

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s the Peter Green modification.

    many thanks for this, just learned Gimme a Bullet that's also a great easy beginner song too. Keep it up, love your playing. Do you sing too? I can imagine that voice of yours would lend itself very well!

    Not sure what you said in the beginning... Did you say it's not standard tuning?? sounds good

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Standard tuning, but early AC/DC albums were tuned all over the place. So just tune your low E to the E chord I play in the intro and tune the rest off the strings accordingly.

    I don't know about you, but after Bon died, AC/DC really held no interest for me. Back In Black was ok, but it all went downhill from there.

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Agreed. Some nice moments here and there, but I'm loyal to Bon.

      I remember buying their first 5 records for less than $2.00. They had a saw cut on the cover to show they were discounted. I could not believe people were not interested in these guys! I loved it! Blues at its finest! Easy songs to learn also, if you dialed in where they were tuned.
