But to it being awkward, it gave the interview more flair, and a relaxed atmosphere all around it. Almost gave the vibe they were friends, and just chilled around. Made it really interesting! The mad thing about this is that he grew up in East Germany were English was not widely taught.. yet he speaks it so beautifully... so delicately and intuitively. Meanwhile, the presenter, who is a native of a country where speaking English is second nature - and whose job it is to speak English - struggled the whole way through... how bizarre. Still one of the most fascinating music interviews I've ever seen.
asking questions in an unfamiliar area is harder than answering questions in an area you are familiar with... Both spoke good English though, I'm not sure what you're talking about.
I think Till is naturally linguistic. Whether you speak more languages or not. He has a '''talenknobbel' we call it in Dutch. Language bump basically. That's why he can find so many double meanings for the songs, in German and english.

And they weren't even that big back then, so imagine if she had to interview Rammstein now...
