literally crying my eyes out for this song, my panic attacks are severe but this song makes me a little bit relaxed
piyoppiHikari96 Hope you are feeling better; please continue remembering that this phase is, only for now :)
Claire you're so sweet.... people like you who have nice things to say to a stranger makes this world worthwhile. thank you
Hey, there are lots of stuff going on in our lives and we dont get to control all of them. But we can control the way we react. Do not push yourself too hard. I’ve seen so many people survivedand I believe in you, I mean it. You will survive too. Have a lovely day. This can be the first comment of my almost 20 years old account :)
Kaan Doğrul wow.... you're so kind thank you it means a lot for me.... i regained a little faith in humanity now....

I was performing this song for choir in March, and covid hit right as we got back from a trip to New York City with all the choirs. Listening back on our performances days before everything got shut down is almost surreal, and super ironic. Really made me realize how important the message of this song is.
this song put a lot of things in perspective for me
Life does move to a beat, and the sooner you realize it the better.
COVID-19 is only for now
❤️
same. Protests songs of the Bush era video.

It’s still for now... but it’s only for now
From the future! 👋 It really IS for now (then) oh..you get the point! 😘
Such a joy to see Peter Linz as Brian!
Great tune to remind us that whatever we face now is a gift and for the moment. So, learn, grow and move forward because good or ill, it will not last. But the lesson we learn at the moment can stay until we transfer that knowledge or fade away. So share as much helpful knowledge and let the rest fade away.
i’m learning this song in theatre tbh it’s so catchy
thanks i had to listen to it 3 time sfor a assignment so this helped alot
That was great. Thanks for the upload
Damn I can’t believe how young Barrett looks in this.

한올님 보고 여기까지 오신분들? ㅎㅎ
Unus annus in a nutshell
His Princeton and Rod voices are the same
Can someone tell me the message in this ending song?
It’s in the title: everything in life is only for now, as in it will only last for a little bit. If you’re feeling sad or scared, it’s good to remember that it’s just temporary and know that eventually it will have all been forgotten.
I hope this helps a little in understanding the song’s message. :)
That's a good puppetirieng, when you look at the puppet, but not at the actor that sings as one, especially when he is not even in control of puppet)
wtf are those other people doing there
Seems a little manipulative now doesn't it. The message from The Man.
"Except for death and paying taxes everything in life is only for now". Not if you join the revolution and destroy the entire government, then you won't have to pay taxes ever again. Or you could just assure yourself that things'll change on their own with time. Bunch of puppets. VIVE LA REVOLUTION!!!
@@MadameTamma After the revolution you'll have to establish a new government and collect taxes. Thats ehy they compare them with death, they are unavoidable for human civilization. Also, the french revolution was among other things to force the rich to pay taxes.
The voice didn’t even change for Princeton and rod wtf is he doing in broadway
yes it did. Rod’s voice is higher and more nasal.
@@davidthaler7018 that’s trash voice acting babe
For me this is an ironic song, about how people "swallows their pride" and "makes a few compromises" "FOR NOW". Plot twist: those band-aid solution for a door that not closes good, or a car that "haves a trick" to work, ends un sticking for long time, and you get a girlfriend and a house and a McJob "For Now", and when you want to find your purpose you are already entangled on compromises, paying for a house's mortgage and a car and the children's college, and it's harder and harder to follow the path that leads to your purpose.
Don't hear the voices of everyone that tells you to "relax" and to "make compromises" FOR NOW. The time is now, and what you do now should last the rest of your life, unless you decide you don't want to follow that path anymore.
Dan Simmons, on the Hyperion's cycles, made his messiah's teaching "to choose again, everyday, even if it means to choose the same than yesterday"
i think you need to listen to the song again
I'd look at the sick people in attendance and say, "Your Life!" (Is only for now LMAO)
So basically you had the same puppeteer do two characters (Lucy/Kate and Rod/Princeton). Why did they do that shit?
its done that way in the show. im not sure exactly why but it works so why change it
less actors is cheaper. Why have more people when it is not needed.
Go see some of the easter bonnet stuff they use more puppeteers there.
This is rather horrifying in a do nothing way. Imagine taking part in this
What? I'm in.
How so
I disagree. The song is a realistic realization of life. Everything in life is only for now. Let’s not dwell on the things we can’t avoid.
how tho
This song is about the fact of life that everything always changes and there's not really something you can hold onto. If you think that's wrong... just live a few more years. Eventually you'll start to complain. "This city isnt what it used to be, my body isn't what it used to be.. " and all of this will only point to the same that this song points to.
Life is a movement that can't be stopped. You can just ride the wave as it comes.
Or, to go deeper, you can't stop it because you're not 'in' it, you ARE it. An expression of it. You didn’t create your brain or body, you don't oversee the happenings in your brain..You can apparently do what you want, but you don't create your wants. You, like everyone and everything else, are an expression of life. You are the flow and it has no real final form, all forms are always changing, no matter how slow.
