"A Feast of Vultures: The Hidden Business of Democracy in India" - a good reference into the shady, but well known nexus between the business and political world. Mr. Anil Agarwal's story is one among the many detailed in the book. Must read. Keeping the contents in mind and viewing interviews such as these will aid you to read between the lines as to what these business leaders are actually implying.
Very rightly said, Agrawal sir... It's just like in Insurance, the first UNDERWRITERS are the Agents. Similarly, yes, the Government should trust the persons in business/industry, etc.
vedanta was a nifty 50 company but they removed it. He did everything possible to delist but LIC stood in the way. most experts do not even recommend this company as it falls off their filter under corporate governance. Spineless board of directors and company run like his own though he owns only 50%.
I am a student from lanjigarh.i have completed b.tech mechanical engineering.i went to the hr head Vedanta limited lanjigarh for a job according to my qualification .hr head said me that there is no any Job policy for local student.i want to ask u sir.if a local criteria student has completed his degree,he will not get any job ,what he will do?
They have a job policy. So much preference is given to locals. They meant there is no vacancy at that time. Million of students do B.Tech. you can't simply walk into a company and ask for job. That much sense is common. And companies like vedanta hardly have such procedures. They do campus hiring.
