I love the Deutschland series! As for how we handel stones in real life: The stones in farming simulator is not really that true to life. Where Im from, small stone dont show up that often, and if its a problem its usually very field specific. We only mostly get big stones, that we need to remove before doing anything (usually by hand) and small stones just get rolled after planting. Small stones dont damage the planters, atleast all the ones I have seen, are made to handel small stones. Planters also usually bring up more stones, so it doesn't make sense to roll before planting, since planters acts like a shallow cultivator. If small stones show up in the field and they are not dealt with by harvesting, they wear the header/ header teeth down, and if its really bad the harvester itself.
Thankyou very much mate! Really glad you're enjoying the series! And thankyou for the info on the stones too, I'm guessing it's a little different within the confines of the game then, as I believe stones can damage any equipment? So it would be advisable to get rid of them asap I reckon :)
@@Farmer-Sim Where you absolutely don't want stones, is in your combine. Look at your seeder, what do you think it will do to the field you just have rolled?
You prune the following month after harvest (the grapes will go in to a withered state prior to pruning). I run the pruner on the back as I find it easier to control. To get the maximum yield you are meant to use the little orchard plough tool (after harvest the field goes in to a 'requires ploughing' state) and then also use the mulcher. Not mulching and not ploughing knocks about 5 percent off the yield. When you mulch and plough, all you do is go straight down the middle of each row. You will miss bits either side of the mulcher and plough but the game is fine with that. I think it just recognises that you have at least made the effort. Lol.
Grapes dont fall under Precision Farming so you need to do folow to get 100pct yield 1. When they get yelow prune (in the spring with seasons on) 2. Subsoil with Disc-o-vigne subsoiler ( increase work with on 3 meters otherwise it will not work and it will leave strips and decrease yield) 3. Fertilize 1st time ( any type of fertilizer will do) 3. When grass between rows grow mulch with Tpn 140 mulcher ( increase work with on 3 meters same reason) 4. Fertilize 2nd time. Courseplay works fine with all these only it needs huge space on the ends to turn. Same thing with olives exculing first step. Field info is useless if you run PF
Excellant episode Farmer Sim. Nice grape harvest. Powerful music to accompany the cinematic. Just don't drink too much of the profits haha. Just as in real life were always learning buddy. Great content as usual.
This is my very first video of yours that I've come across. I like how you start the video explaining where you're at and you do it while moving rather than standing still which some creators do and when they talk for quite a while it get's frustrating that they aren't doing anything. Then you moved into your farmyard, and it was tidy with everything put in its place. I'm only 5 minutes in but just wanted to leave this comment on the good impression I had.
Thankyou very much mate! Glad you’re enjoying the way I do things, and yes every yard must be tidy…ish haha! You have called by before, an elephant never forgets….Holmakra episode 3…
Alright buddy. Sorry very late to catching up with everything but im there all caught up and im glad i did last 3 videos you posted all spot on mate great stuff great work great videos 👍
I love your videos. And I know it probably won't happen but I'd love to see a contract farming only play through ( large scale custom farming) with your knowledge on course play it would be cool to see. No personal farm land or productions just a large lot or several small lots for equipment around the map
Hey William! Thankyou mate really glad you're enjoying my videos! Really appreciate that! Yes I did consider a contract-only playthrough not long ago but with 'things' coming up in the near future that I have planned it's just finding the time for another series! There's just not enough hours! :)
Grapes and olives are one of the more interesting crops to do but they take so long (Prune, plough, mulch, harvest, prune etc etc). Out of interest, with Courseplay, how long did it take you to do that one section of orchard and did you have to supervise Courseplay all of the time?
Hey Stephen! Yeh I kinda wished I'd had a go at these much sooner! It took CP about 1hr 30 mins to do all that, and yes I had to supervise...a lot. I actually had to remove a layer of trees from around the edge of the vineyard to allow for turning space, but even then it still hit trees....considering that harvester can turn on a dime, CP uses a lot of space to turn it around!
@@Driver-zw9sy Hi there! Thankyou very much really glad you enjoyed the video! Some modders/map makers choose not to release their mods on the mod hub and instead release them on their own website. EDOmod has done just that and there is a link to his site in the video description mate :)
