Because he has an invincible shield.

Ignis is great at dealing with multiple opponents at once, the more opponents he hits at once, the more opponents he heals off of. That is why when he fought mutant more by himself he lost, but won the fight against mutant more and mutant beasts at the same time. There were more things close to him so he healed a lot each sword attack and most of his attacks do area damage so he counters groups perfectly. Ignis just couldn’t hit the bosses when they got too close because of some bug with hit boxes or something. (RNG does play a roll but this is the main reason he beat all the mutants imo)

Specifically in this video, there seems to be a bug with having multiple of "The Boss" on the field.
When the Boss that's in the second phase uses the clone attack, it also makes the other Boss that Ignis was targeting disappear but Ignis still tries to hit it even when it's not there.
Ignis does struggle against multiple enemies bit it'll probably help if he isn't attacking nothing.

@@Snapcracklepop12 Yeah I noticed that too I just didn’t want to make my essay of a comment any longer. I’ve seen similar bugs where the actions of one mob will affect all the other mobs of the same type in some mod development videos. It’s definitely fixable
