Rasa is a mukim and town in Hulu Selangor District, Selangor, Malaysia. The word rasa means "taste" in Malay.
Since the 1900s Rasa has had a tin mining industry. Tan Boon Chia, a businessman in Selangor, was based in this town and his mansion, the Yuan Chin Hall along the main railway track, still survives. The town is known for its Hakka cuisine. Its the former seat of Hulu Selangor district administration.
叻思（Rasa）在19世纪因锡矿、铁路，成为乌雪县最热闹繁华的市镇，繁忙程度可媲美吉隆坡「金三角(Golden Triangle)」，高峰期间拥有两间戏院、无数间的酒吧和酒店等等，但随着时代的改变，叻思早已归于「平淡」，唯一不变的是当地居民浓浓的人情味。

This place brought back lots of fond memories for me. I'm a Singaporean but I spent many school holidays in Rasa, as my great grandparents lived there. Absolutely beautiful place, love it.

I have not visited Rasa for many years as my great grandparents' place was sold (u went past it, the first of the row of 3 houses right next to the police station) after they passed on. My brother and I planned to bring my dad to visit sometime this year though and will definitely try the food u recommended!!!

@@Nick_catman Yes that's right, the houses opposite KTM. Not sure how old those houses are but i know they draw water from wells.

RASA.....never come across....thanks for sharing..its very interesting town. They should turn the 'Ghosts' mansion to home stay..I wouldn't mind staying 😂. Probably at night, Full of Suprise guests 😅. The Chinese style cookings definitely very traditional and I like the nostalgia atmosphere.

Rasa my hometown. My father said when he was kid one evening when playing at the Mansion there, all of them saw ghosts without head, since then they dont dare to play around the Mansion already

KL Kopi Beng唔系三个半咗咩？叻思大街夜市有间酿豆腐咖喱鱼头好唔错，忘记咗系咪你哋最后食果间。叻思嘅面食还可以，就系配料比较单调简朴冇花巧。

a popular fry mee stall there (shophse opp market)...opens daily except Monday fr early morning n finish by 10.30am.....nearby all the seafood restaurants...special river prawns there...ikan hantu(Soon Hock) also delicious but depend on supply

现在山旮旯小镇的地方食物都卖这么贵，一杯咖啡乌都要3零吉，吉隆坡好多地方只卖2决半2块6而已，比城市还要贵，真的是奸商无所不在，真不知道当地居民怎样生活，薪水又低。
