Richard Burns Rally Longest Stage: 46km Ahmavaara, in a Hyundai I20 Coupe WRC 2017 (Moza R5 Wheel)

Do you like your stages short and easy? Well, this isn't one of them. 😂 This is 46km of snow at night, and so far it's taken me two evenings of practice to get one decent non-crashy time in a fast car. It's 11km longer than Ouninpohja, but despite the snow it's fast, so this first success only took a little longer than my first successful Ouninpohja time in a similar spec car.
Car uses a stock snow setup, but with the gears set to long, this way every "square" turn Darren calls is done in 3rd, just at different revs. That's my simple practice setup for this enormous stage, but now I've learned its pitfalls I'll go back to medium gear length. The amount of time the car can achieve it's long-geared top speed of 225kph doesn't justify the small loss of acceleration, which I think is more important for the amount of times you want to get back up to speed whenever you have slowed. Now to try it in the BMW M1 🤪😂
