Hi I have a lot of experience with shoes. On average, women do have much narrower feet than men and therefore the narrow shoes are comfortable. There are women however (including myself) that have wider feet and I have a hard time wearing the standard width womens shoe. Then men's shoes feel more comfortable because they are made for the average men's foot width.

I wouldn't say that "I was bullied" but I was "made fun" because I was and still am small (5 feet/1.53m), and also because of my skin, I have a problem called pityriasis versicolor (my patches are brown) so basically I am really pale and you could see those little things in my back and people started to call me Dalmatian so yeah as I grew up people started to get used to it and now they are just "curious" at least they got a little more mature I guess 🤷🏻♀️

The whole women’s shoes thing isn’t just related to “street wear culture” and the more fashionable side, but the cheaper casual wear side as well. I want to have sneakers that get the job done and are a neutral color, but when I go sneaker shopping, all of the women’s shoes are neon or vibrant colors, so I have to go to the men’s section to get black/grey/muted color shoes.
At Adidas I've bought shoes from the boys kids section, because I couldn't find any plain black and white shoes in the women's, only different colors of superstars and similar shoes

Emmy Kasbit did 4 years ago, Kenneth Ize like last year, I was at Lagos fashion week 2018 when Tokyo James who had only done mens wear closed the show with a sexy ass leather jacket dress. Honestly any fashion industry that hasn't started including women is limiting themselves.
I love that you dig into streetwear more ! I find myself torn a lot between streetwear and classic fashion (if one wants to call it that) and I love the insight of your perspective on it. I am still in university so I don’t have much disposable income yet, but I love love love your channel and the perspective and education you provide. I discovered my favorite designers through you and know towards what style I am working.
The shoemen don't just sell them outta trunks in like neighborhoods or whatever. You can catch them in parking lots like in the small neighborhood corner stores, local hand wash carwashes, and flea markets.

It is aggravating trying to get a men's sneaker and then having to convert it into a women's size in your head. This is why I have two pairs of Nike sneakers that are a half a size too big.

I have friends from college NYU who were in the business of reselling streetwear, and they advised me (this was like 6 yrs ago) it’s always smart to buy size S bc then you could also resell to women in addition to men. Women have always been interested in streetwear and I’m happy Billie pointed some difficulties in that area.

The shoe at 1:21 is one I’m guilty of owning because my work colors are red so it goes with my red shirts and black bottoms I get to wear. I also have pumas that look just like those Jordan’s as well. Yes both are in men’s but that’s just because they are comfy and wider and a lot more durable. Also I bought matching pairs of shoes for my 3yr old son and he managed to pull it off better than me 😂

I really should get them repaired and fixed up but I already know it’s gonna cost me a few $$$. Just a future word of advise... Jordan’s are great for being showy but I definitely don’t recommend them for retail work. It wears the soles down extra fast and the toes get torn. Pumas are definitely better for the harsh movement of working in a job that requires a lot of movement and sliding your toes across the ground.

i love your video luke but i just want to address the fact that you kept interchanging people who like streetwear with hypebeasts which are completely different things. a lot of people like sneakerheads are completely encompassed by the culture of streetwear and sneakers while hypebeasts really don’t care about the culture while just chasing the crazes of logo mania and a high pricetag.

The shoe at 1:21 is one I’m guilty of owning because my work colors are red so it goes with my red shirts and black bottoms I get to wear. I also have pumas that look just like those Jordan’s as well. Yes both are in men’s but that’s just because they are comfy and wider and a lot more durable. Also I bought matching pairs of shoes for my 3yr old son and he managed to pull it off better than me 😂

Yvng ChildSupport yeah I have it but oh my lord they don’t look as clean as that now. They are worn down from all of the times it’s gotten me through school and work. I really should get them repaired and fixed up but I already know it’s gonna cost me a few $$$. Just a future word of advise... Jordan’s are great for being showy but I definitely don’t recommend them for retail work. It wears the soles down extra fast and the toes get torn. Pumas are definitely better for the harsh movement of working in a job that requires a lot of movement and sliding your toes across the ground.
HauteLeMode it’s difficult trying to find any that fit and look like them nowadays. I get close but they just don’t last like they used to.

These chunky shoes bring me back to the era of scene/skater kids. The chunky Air Walks and DC shoes. Skinny jeans and huge shoes, that was the vibe.
