Much better idea than the epoxy floor we tried to install. Just the time alone makes this a better choice. What they don’t tell you up front is the necessary cure time for epoxy applied flooring. We were deprived of our garage for several days at the time we were moving out. Even at double the price this flooring option would have been a far better choice!
I'm so glad I saw this! I have a temporary carpet down in my garage, but the tape is starting to come up from parking my car every day. I also need to add baseboard trim to my garage as it is totally unfinished--would you advise putting the baseboard down first or after laying the flooring? Thank you!
Looking at adding this exact product to my garage. Excellent, detailed, and focused video. Excellent job! Any update on how it's doing? And what tape did you use?
Thanks! It's holding up really well. Still looks brand new. It's very easy to clean up liquids, sawdust, styrofoam, pvc plastic dust, etc. We used roberts max grip vinyl tape. We are seeing some gapping where the two vinyl pieces meet. We think this is due to not taping all the edges down (we just did one side and the middle seems. It's not a huge deal and we will probably not do anything about it. But if we did it again we could make sure to tape all sides.- Steph
I love love love love love.... did I say love? LOL I love this video and the flooring you guys installed. And you looked like you were having a great time too!
I have a cat rescue-I wanted to improve upon the flooring in my garage because they live there part of the time and wanted a better area than concrete. What do you think?
Hi Steph and Vicki. I’m going to be installing G Floor in my garage and like Vicki’s garage I will need 3 rolls. I see you taped the seams which I want to do. No issues with ripples? Also, some suggest leaving one inch gap around perimeter, did you do that or just cut it to fit like I’d like to do.
They now have a center trim we would probably have gotten to connect the rolls together. We have not had ripples, but the gap gets bigger between the rolls at different times of the year. We did leave a little gap around the perimeter.
Please reply to me with the installation tape. I am buying the vinyl sheet flooring. The home depot guy recommended me the ROBERTS 7350 two Gals Universal Flooring Adhesive ($54 a Gal). I also need to repair the concrete floor first (that is more expensive)
Nope, the only thing we have noticed is the gap between panels gets a little bigger in the winter, but it's not a big deal at all. We still love the flooring and recommend it! -Steph
Hi ladies I just seen your video. I know it been about a year how is the floor holding up now? I am in the process of redoing my garage. Thank you for your help and time. Katie
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Thank you so much for the response. I look forward to putting it in my garage. Keep up the great videos. I going back to watch them all.
I used Rustoleum epoxy for my garage floor and it peeled off. It's the worse product out. I did everything step by step, and it still didn't come out right. So pissed. So much time, energy, and money wasted on preparation and finishing with the Rustoleum epoxy. Don't use.
This is Awseome. I’ve been going back-and-forth about doing Epoxy and it looks good but it is super expensive. Like $4500 just for the garage. It’s a brand new modern home and I need to use that extra $ for The livable part of the house. LOL I looked at some of your other videos and it seems like this vinyl holds up better anyway. Does she still have it? I’ll keep ya posted.
It comes in different sizes and pattern so the price is different depending on what you pick: www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring-Garage-Flooring-Garage-Flooring-Rolls/G-Floor/N-5yc1vZ2fkot60Zank?storeSelection=254,6374,6959,1770,140
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY it looks good but not sure as a car guy how much it will hold up.....wheel turning, in and out with the car, light-heavy car....
Oh I'm planning on getting something similar. This video really helped me see how these products are, thank you

Love this flooring! I’m looking at products now for my floor and I’m putting this on the list of options!
Awesome!
Wow you guys did awesome!! Curious your garage looks like mine what was the vinyl cost??
How is the flooring holding up? Just curious. Are you still happy with the flooring or would you have rather had epoxy?
It's holding up way better than the epoxy in our other garage. Would us it again for sure!
I love love love love love.... did I say love? LOL I love this video and the flooring you guys installed. And you looked like you were having a great time too!
Thanks Timisha! We love it too! :)
You give me more idea's than I have time for. Awesome video!
Did you check the mold under the mat regularly
I wonder about any extreme temperature changes. my garage isn't heated. i'll google it :P
Best review. Made my mind with G Floor. Nailed key installation question. Congratulations
Glad it was helpful!
Loved this where did u buy it ?
Home Depot
brilliant job ladies, love from the UK
Thanks Martin!
I need this for my basement floors
Great job 👏 how does it hold up when turning car wheels on it?
We don't park the car on it often, but don't have any issues with the wheels on it.
Thanks
Great review ladies I installed this yesterday my question to you is how is it holding up and how long have you had it thank you
It has been two years now and it still looks brand new. It’s holding up great!
Where you get the vinyls

Yeah, this would probably work well!

We used ROBERTS Max Grip 1-7/8 in. x 50 ft. Vinyl Installation Tape Roll
Great job. How durable is it having an SUV on it daily?
We can't say, because we have too many projects in the way to fit the car in the garage anymore :(
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY thank you for your reply.. keep up the great work
Great idea!! What do you think about putting this product over a plywood floor in a shed? Let me know. Cheers!! 🤓
It would probably be very nice. You would just want to check with the company to make sure it can go over wood floors.
@@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Thanks for the advice. Cheers!! 🤓
Did you do it? I'm planning to use this for my shed that I make as my shop. Thanks.
Thanks guys, very informative. 😃 🙌🏻
Great video!
Great job ladies! It's been 2 years now. Has the covering shifted any?
Nope, the only thing we have noticed is the gap between panels gets a little bigger in the winter, but it's not a big deal at all. We still love the flooring and recommend it! -Steph
Does it collect water under the mat

You're welcome! Good luck with the project. -Steph
So how is the floor doing after all this time
Its doing very well. No issues.
How is the floor holding up? Do you park on it?
It's holding up great so far! Sawdust and debris clean up easily. We have parked on it a few times but not regularly yet.
Looks great, are you close to Vancouver BC?
Florida
What was the price of each roll? I have a 2 car garage i want to put this in.
If you have a Menards it is $ 150 per roll. aprox 8ft by 17ft

Would periodically check for mold
Water and moisture will get under the mats. That'd be my concern as well. Nicely done though ladies.
Great video
Hi can we park the car on top? Will it bear the weight.
yes

Great job girls
Thanks Shawn!
So how does it really hold up with cars in and out? Anyone tryed it?
We have not packed the car on it much, as we are pretty much always using the garage to work on projects. But it's holding up very well for us.

What is the name to this floor?
I’m trying to do the kitchen floor of my church in the basement ,I like this floor ,great job ladies!!
G-floor
After 5 years are you still pleased with a vinyl floor in the garage?
Yes! We did have a little issue with the middle seam so we added g-floor edge trim and it has worked well.
