To achieve the proper axial stress with minimal error, it is necessary to provide an accompanying end cap reaction force. This force will be equivalent to the pressure multiplied by the inner cross-sectional area. As previously stated by another viewer, it is advisable to utilize a cylindrical coordinate system for ease of calculation.
Not the right way to report cylindrical stress, please create 1 cylindrical coordinate system then report hoop and radial. your cartesian CSYS is clearly showing the same stress of hoop and radial, please correct that
I have a cylinder with orthotropuc properties in cylindrical coordinate system (carbon fiber composite with fiber direction along theta) How do i define the material in workbench? In the engineering data i can only define a material with orthotropic properties in cartesian xyz system..
Hi, Sorry I won't be able to answer that now. It's been years since i left Ansys to start working in AI. But as far as I remember there was an option , we had defined custom materials for some testing.
Solver pivot warnings or errors have been encountered during the solution. This is usually a result of an ill conditioned matrix possibly due to unreasonable material properties, an under constrained model, or contact related issues. Check results carefully. i have done the same but this msg appears
Fricctionless support gives an error in my results only fixed works- any idea about this? Thanks!
theoretical link is not working please help it shows url not found
Really liked the detail analysis..great work..keep it up...
Thankyou very much brother 🤓🤓

its unbelievable how many of those youtube "tutorials" on pressure vessels are wrong. boundary conditions, path and coordinate system all ill defined.
Nicely done , keep up the good work
Thanks Buddy 👍✌️

can i know what does the equivalent stress and hoop stress mean here?
I tried doing this but it says error due to not enough constraints. any ideas?

It really helped me to work on my project. Thanks. Can you also make a video on a closed cylinder with two cylindrical pits on it, please.
Thanks.

Hoop stress not equal normal stress ?!!
I miss ansys.....😆😆
Those were golden days 🤓😎
Nyc job
Thanx Man 👍
Good
Thankyou !
