Mine to.
Mine too
I generally listen to metal, but when I'm stressed and aggravated nothing calms me down better then Norah Jones. She's just got this smooth mellow vibe to her.
same here lol
me 3 🤘
if you mostly listen to metal, that is why you get stressed and aggravated.
Feelin' ya! She's an amazing talent!
Bruce Joslen Man you have the same thoughts of a 40 year old mom worried about is child listening to metal... only that kid is now an adult because it’s freakin 2020 and no one thinks like that anymore.
She's a real artist. Doesn't really have a bad song.
meryuk stand by..

Norah always does it for me!
This is her only good song. The rest is totally unremarkable
@@tombsower6926 I wouldn't agree with that.
Little Broken Hearts, After the Fall, Flipside, Day Breaks, Hurts to Be Alone, How I Weep... are just as good. But I love her music, and you obviously don't.
13 years later and I still love this song
It's a wee classic.
She's looks soooo beautiful in this video!!
She looks like a fine fox!
Love her outfit too. Cute.
She IS so beautiful!
ikr
She's adorable!
Heard this song for the first time while watching House series. Took me 11 years and a covid virus to get here. Merry Xmas everyone.
Omg same! I knew the song but I completely forgot about it and House brought it to my attention again a few months ago. Nice little coincidence!
Same 😝
@@pepperpattynaise That's what brought me here! 😅
14 years in, same softness and innocence.
Innocence? She’s a grown ass woman. You are so creepy…cringe
It feels like yesterday that I heard this for the first time. 2009!? Where does the time go?
She is beautiful, her music is beautiful, her lyrics are beautiful. Honestly, such an inspiration.
the melody is just so unforgettable
I heard this at Gamestop back in 09 I literally memorized the phrase "my minds racing from chasing pirates" in the future just incase I get a computer, I got a iPod touch and looked up this song and now I can die happy 🚣♥️
literally had the exact same experience
Chris Parker wow small world ehe?
@@chrisparker4935 literally
Salute
I love experiences like these, I’ve had a few and LOVE the feeling hahaha
Norah the explorer
xD
Lol @minhaj Khan
Elkay lmfao
this comment is underrated 😂😂
Lmfao! Love it
I love to walk alone at night and listening this song !!!
me too I love this song... is my favorite Norah' song
I could live inside this song. I think it's interesting to note that there are no cymbals in the drum track, only drums. I think this decision created a lot of room in the higher frequencies for Norah's voice to come through clearer.
The video is just as cool as the song. Unique idea, creative... And not done in a cheesy way. There is a little extra magic when we see the sails get wind :)
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed that this song has no cymbals
She's pretty much the cutest ever.
He's very normal physically. But, yes, she's a genious singing
Norah Jones is simply the perfect combination of talent, class, beauty and humble brilliance. Our world could use more of her DNA floating around everywhere.
I'm late to the party, but I'm just now getting into her music. She is beautiful and talented. Those eyes!
Norah is gorgeous!
Same
Same. I've known *of* her since when she was big, but I was never exposed to her music or seeked it out. Now that this song has popped up at work, I finally looked her up and I absolutely love her.
God smiled upon the universe when he created this angel!
Ten years ago in my early teens I listened to this song, this exact upload. I stared out of my window at the pinkish gradient of the sunset in the sky, having just moved to a new town and a new house with my family, and thought about how the 2000s was over and the future awaited us. It feels like it has been forever, and yet only a moment.
Beautiful ❤
In your message you said
You were going to bed
But I'm not done with the night
So I stayed up and read
But your words in my head
Got me mixed up so I turned out the light
And I, don't know how
To slow it down
My mind's racing
From chasing pirates
Well, I'm having the squeems
While the silliest thing's
Floppin' around in my brain
And I try not to dream
But them possible schemes
Swim around, wanna drown me in sync
And I don't know how
To slow it down
Oh, my mind's racing
From chasing pirates
And I don't know how
To slow it down
Oh, my mind's racing
From chasing pirates
My mind's racing
From chasing pirates
My mind's racing
From chasing pirates...
(thanks!)
Squeems?!

Thanks!
What a beautiful woman, and voice to melt one's heart.
I love how this song transcends race, color, class, and culture. If you love music, you'll love this song.
Oh man, this song takes me back to 2008. I fell in love with her, her beauty, her voice, and her outfit.
Nothing like a diva dressed as a pirate
why can't i be this pretty with such a voice. Fingers crossed for my next galactic experience
Just be yourself, and work hard on your piano skills
God she's gorgeous.
Norah has many songs that are awesome, but this one, I have no idea what it is, but Chasing Pirates is such a great song.
I had been searching for this song for several years. I always heard it at my job. I remembered the beat but not the lyrics. I began a journey of trying to find it. With only knowing that is was a female, and that the song sounded like an oldie, I began looking on youtube and google. Then I came across the name Norah Jones. I thought that maybe it could be her; the song did sound like her voice. After listening to several of her songs, I finally found this gem. It's been almost a year now since that happened, and I am still just as grateful!
Absolutely love her skirt in this video!
her voice is sooo soothing. just makes me feel like flying! love norah jones.
It’s just something about her beautiful voice calms me down
This song is so underrated. I catch myself humming this one all the time.
looks as good as she sounds ..........life aint fair
fell in love with this one a decade ago. still in love.
This is one of those songs that just grows on you; well at least for me. I didn't particularly like this song the first time I heard it but after a few more replays, I suddenly got hooked and this is now one of my favorite Norah Jones songs. =)
+jan279 I just wish that the "Jam" was longer, with whatever instrument that was being played. And, she is SO cute in this video! I love the little 'imperfections'! FRECKLES!!! I love 'em!
+jan279 I think exactly the same!
Those imperfections are so perfect! hahaha She is the cutest ever.
Bought this album soon as it was released and this song instantly became on of my fave by her. It has such a great ambiance.
Agree....
A magnificent sense of space that spreads in the palm of your hand. Norah Jones is truly amazing!
Her voice makes my heart ache
not for anyone in particular but gives me as sadness and makes me feel all the things and a mostly wistful feeling
I have this exact feeling when I listen to Coldplay
Her hair looks great short. Also, amazing song. Love those slidey bass fills.
She's just getting prettier!
simplicity + stunning voice = Norah Jones 🙌
She's so pretty and classy. Norah was my crush back in middle school
She’s perfect! Talented, gorgeous and has a beautiful voice.
Beautiful song, and smart of the director to shy away from the absolute chaos on the city streets below. No telling how many died in the filming of this video.
this norah is just so cute!
My freshman year of college and living away from home triggered extreme anxiety for me. This song helped me calm down numerous times that year.
This song is 13+ years old and I simply cannot fathom our modern day artists making something as sublime as this.😆
The funny thing about this song is I hated it when my boyfriend would play it a few years ago. He’s passed since... a few months ago. I find myself playing this song and understanding it more since his passing. Funny how a song can take you back in time and you can relive those emotions. Love is powerful! We need more L
😭
😭
stay strong :)
Why u didn't appreciate him when he was still alive?
Bullshit
I think Norah Jones is like a goddess... I don't even like southern accents but she has more than that going for her.
Makes me feel good about the situation my friend and I think we should be...
Can't wait for proper treatment and she is indicated.
Well I guess we can go talk about what you said...
Just want to know how that goes out of the house and the other side of my face....
Best song about pirates in the last decade
I heard this song countless times on the car radio on my way to work and coming back home and now 5 years later I still smile every time I hear it.......
Norah Jones, an artist the worlds needs more of.
I agree!!
Que nostalgia, eu amava esse clipe quando eu tinha 9 anos. Passava sempre na MTV Lab Disk Saudade desse tempo
:(
Norah Jones is one of those rare artists who are not about fame at all. she won 5 Grammys back in 2003 and got so confused with it :)
Thank you, Royal Caribbean, for playing this on my cruise.
I work over night and this song comes on every night, multiple times. And to be honest, it's the only one that I can actually tolerate. It's calming and I wish it were longer. :(
Repetive Organs chords and repetitive lyrics = magical song = genius
Norah is the most underrated artist of our generation. That velvet voice is everything. Everything.
Underrated? I don't think so.
Please stop calling artists of this caliber underrated, just because they don't climb the charts or other bullshit that shouldn't be given the slightest importance. Every time an artist is named underrated, it's as if you're saying that the work, the art they live for, doesn't do enough. You couldn't be more wrong.
Deserves much more airplay on the airwaves. Truly wonderful song.
This song was crazy popular in my country in 2010, was on every radio station, but forgotten just as fast rip
Again this collection showed a new band & sound for the Grammy Award winner.
One of the things i hope to do before I die is to attend a Norah Jones concert. :)
It's 2020 and this song is still in my playlist. Gold!
I heard this first in college, 2013. Years later, House MD brought me here.
2019
And I still adore you Norah 😍😍😍😍😍
2021 ;)
Stated listening to Norah Jones in 2002 and still love her in 2019!!
Still love it in 2023
Norah Jones in 4K... we are not worthy!
2017 still rocking
what?? it`s been 7 years since this song came out, my god im getting old .
10 years now!

That's okay, "The years go by, and we all get older."
This was the first Norah Jones song I listened to. Imagine what the 'First Impression' was for me like. Been a fan ever since. :)
Norah jones is soooo underrated
And now something completely different... When I first saw this moving building, all I could think about was "The meaning of life" by Monthy Python:)
Great song:)
The Crimson Permanent Assurance! 😜🤣👍
Who's here in 2019?

A year ahead of you.
2020.
Just for that breath of fresh air

It's 2022 and I still LOVE this song!
2019 still from NEPAL... From my childhood to my teenage to my 30's I never get boared of this song... Norah ur the best in world
This song is about an hour too short...
No, it's not. It's about Norah Jones trying to catch pirates.
Too short, agreed - and so is the video (but then, that's one of Norah's "hooks," huh).
@Jeff No, it's not: Her racing mind is about chasing pirates..
This
@@Jeff-BrokenJaw exaclty hahahahaha

So underrated, she's got an amazing voice...
For some reason, This is the only song I know her from, because they played this Every morning on VH1.
Yes this is exactly where I heard it at early mornings during my high school vacations waking up early to listen to this everyday on vh1
Yessss
Quantos brasileiros curtem música antiga internacional?
My favorite song of all time, even now 10 years later. By mere chance I was up at like 2 am about to go to sleep after playing Modern Warfare 2 all day long, when this song came up in TV in a commercial for the album (they actually did that back then). I didn't have a DVR so I had to try really hard not to forget the name of the album, all while frantically turning on my PC so I could Google the name of the album.
I never saw that commerical ever again, so had I not been awake on that day at 2am, I would never had heard this song because it's not typically the genre I listen to so it would never have been recommended to me.
Really nice song. The idea of a pirate ship sailing across city streets comes from Monty Python's 'The Meaning of Life' (1983).
Love this song so much!
Nice song, and nice video with a flavor to Monty Python.
she has matured in to a real classic
For whatever reason this song is like sitting in a hammock between to palm trees drinking an import.
i couldn't agree more
I don't drink but I totally agree with you. 😊
for me its like a raft in a storm in the center of a circle of tranquility in the ever churning waters of the ocean
I just discovered Norah Jones about 8 minutes ago
Love this song still in 2024❤
The crimson permanent assurance ship. AWESOME
Meu deus eu gostava tanto dessa música
Nostalgia

Man I love this song!! Song is short and sweet like Norah but man I wish there was an extended version
Her father is Ravi Shankar and her sister is one of the best sitar players
After all these years I'm in my own little place again listening to Norah Jones. She makes everything better.
The Crimson Permanent Assurance! Great tune.
This song...it's like being in love with someone you haven't met yet.
😅😊
Such a guilty pleasure song..
just wanna come back to these days, i was listening to it as a fine arts student ♥
Beautiful song and she is breathtakingly beautiful 😍. I have adored her for years. She must literally be an 😇
