    This is an excellent lecture, informed and spirited on the rich and ancient history of this area of Italy. The history told here is essential. “To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is not to have seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the clue to everything” says Goethe. Sicily is indeed a treasure.

    I wish I could have seen the exhibit. Please offer more on Southern Italy post-Roman and pre-Renaissance.
