I'm stuck on the step at about 3:38, selecting, copying, and pasting in back only the white flower. My objects are not grouped, and I go into the Layers panel and select just the white one, but it keeps repasting the entire set instead of just the white flower. What could I be doing wrong? And what is the purpose of pasting a white flower behind all the others? As far as I can see, it isn't used...
Mine isn't fully editable because it doesn't have the option to add more petals after the blend. I followed all the steps exactly as far as I can tell, but I must have done something wrong somewhere.

Expand the transform panel by clicking on tiny arrow beside the label 🔖 "Transform".

Maybe you expanded that polygon by mistake. Select that Polygon > Goto Object > Shape > Convert to Shape. Then you will see the properties.
