That is a beautiful area to explore. I wonder if mounting a small video camera on the mast head or spreaders looking down and forward would show you the coral heads and make it safer? I installed the small waterproof cameras on my RV looking backwards and they are much better than the mirrors. Small, light, and inexpensive "eyes in the sky" might be like a crew member on lookout. Your drone video made me think of it. Of course it would only work when the sun is high and the water is clear, just like our eyes. Time to go to New Zealand maybe?
Lots of yachts add camera to their masts and some even with lenses that takes reflection away enabling you to see through the surface. Thank you so much for watching and for being here
@@MiQBohlin I watched the entire video. He hemhawed around and never got to a point. I subscribe, like, and comment every week. I reiterate, click bait title.
Yeah it’s definitely a cliffhanger even though it’s not on purpose. It’s difficult times and challenging decisions to be made. Thank you so much for watching
Yes I’m aware of this, but sometimes you go to places not planned for in advance. But for sure offline and even paper copies as I prepared three years ago would do the same work. Thank you so much for being here
Thank you so much! Happy you enjoyed the drone shots, not so often it’s legal to fly. I try whenever I have the chance. Thank you so much for being here
Cold and cold😁 haven't you ever take a swim in the northern part of Norway in summer? We often have 14-16 degrees Celsius, in Tromsø they take a swim in 12degrees Celsius😃
After several years in the Caribbean my body has been climatized for warmer climates. Not sure if I could handle the cold north anymore. Thank you so much for watching and for being here. All the best
Another great video! I hope you successful resolve your future, be it together or apart. I need your input. I am considering the purchase of a boat that is in Martinique, and as I recall you had company you felt was very good there do boat work for you. Can you kindly tell me the name of the firm? I'll need a pre-purchase survey and some work done on the boat, I am sure. Thank you for your help.
Sounds interesting and exciting! I had great experience with Caraïbe Marine in Le Marine. They have several divisions as Métal workshop, rigging, woodwork, electrical and more. Great guys with top moral and working ethics. All the best and good luck 🍻
How long does gray water last in the tanks on board? And what are you doing it's full? Do you empty inside the atoll or do you go out into deep water and empty? Curious because I'm going out in a couple of years 😃💕
I have three holding tanks and theoretically I could last for quite some times. The temperature however is a challenge as things starts happening when heated up over time. So unfortunately the truth is as everyone else it goes straight out as little by little is better than a big load. The current and renewal of water is strong here, so it’s most likely not such big problem. All the resorts and houses goes straight into the ocean as well. Some on the pacific side, but mostly into the atoll. I try to leave as small footprints as possible, and always use holding tanks outside beaches when close to this. Then empty on deep water far from shore after a few days. Hope this was useful information. All the best
Yes, it was a good answer to something that no sailing channel on TH-cam talked about, otherwise most of it will come up here. Thanks for the reply and now I know how everyone else is doing until I too come in a couple of years and join you. ⛵💕😃
Thomas and Gee, you both are making some great videos and enjoying them. Sailing through remote areas can be very fun, interesting but brings a lot of challenges. I have heard some people can go to a neighboring country to be able to renew their visas. So they can continue with their enjoyment and whatever they are doing in that country. Some countries allow you to apply for extension without having to leave. Hope this helps you both out. Keep your head up and don't be down because of minor bumps in the road.
@@SailingwithThomas Succeed at learning something from it all? I doubt it. I probably already had it figured out 20 years ago. I appreciate the gesture, though. 🍻
Love your channel/videos Thomas and Gee. I really hope you get to come to New Zealand. Summer is coming and there is plenty to see. Hope you can sort out the issues. You didn't exactly say what they are .. but .. I would hate to see your adventures stop. Cheers From New Zealand
Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Much appreciated! The next episode will probably explain it all much better. Thank you for being here 🙏🏻
Did you meet up with sv Delos? Great video. I went on vacation to moorea and Bora Bora. So beautiful! It would be a great place for you both to get married. ❤❤

I suspect Gee is pregnant and that is why they are reluctant to go to remote places
@plovdal No way. Maybe she wants to return to Norway, is my guess.
More likely her home country then 😉
