In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil talks about Bhopal Gas tragedy in 1984. Late Night on 2 December 1984, water crept into a tank of Methyl Isocynate. Resulting chemical reaction lead to gas leak from the Pesticide plant of Union Carbide Plant in Bhopal, capital town of Madhya Pradesh (India). Methyl Isocynate (MIC) was used as raw material to produce pesticide hence factory stored a large amount of MIC. In the upcoming days around 3000 people died and another 8000 people died within week and yet another 15000-20000 people died over a period of time. Over half a million people directly or indirectly affected due to poisonous gas. The Company CEO Warren Anderson Was kept under house arrest when he arrived in Bhopal after 5 days but was released on the orders of state Chief Minister Arjun Singh. Arjun got the orders on call from Delhi.

जिस राजीव गांधी के समय नरसंहार हुआ, वो Sympathy vote पर 400+ सीटें लाता है।
जिस मोदी के राम में हजारों गुजरातियों का संहार हुआ, पहले ट्रेन में जलाकर फिर दंगों में मारकर, उसको भारत का PM बना दिया गया।
फिर जब हमारे जवानों को बम से उड़ा दिया गया तो उसको फिर से चुन लिया गया, देशभक्ति के नाम पर।
और देश का बहुत भला करने वाले पीवी नरसिम्हा राव और अटल बिहारी को जनता ने चुनाव हरा दिया।
